This is a great life-saving dog vest. I bought this for my 14 pound shih-tzu, as I wanted to be able to take her sailing and paddleboarding. It's easy to put on. The fabric is soft yet high quality, and I love the orange reflective color. She seems to be comfortable in it and in the water. I wanted to see how the vest would hold up in an emergency situation, so I placed this on her and we waded into the lake. It held her head and body comfortably and steady no tipping or rolling over like reviewers reported on other styles that I considered.

I have a pitty / plot hound mix.He's a strong swimmer who wasn't aware of his own capabilities.He has swam approximately 3-4 miles in this (with breaks in between)I take him paddle boarding with me now that we have a proper vest for him.Once it's properly adjusted --> It does it's job well and keeps his face above water.Love the bright safety orange color that makes him easy to spot in a lake or large pond.***It may require re-adjustment once it's been used and soaked a few times***He can do his potty with no issues / no messDoes not interfere with his standard collar.He is a happy boi.

We have a staffy who adores the water. Will sit on the deck and just splash and chomp for hours. But as staffy owners know - they are bowling balls and she struggles to stay afloat. This was super easy to put on and she was sprinting laps around the pool. She would slow down between turns and never once did she start to sink or get wobbly - the vest kept her firmly above water the whole time. All her legs were free and clear and she was able to get out of the pool and run around the yard as well. Highly recommend! (She’s 78 pounds and chest girth 34”, got the XL)

This vest is very good for my Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever. I put it on him even though he's a good swimmer whenever I take him into the ocean. I had one incident with him in the ocean with me when we got caught by a huge wave and he got covered by The Wave with the vest still attached and came right up to the top and it didn't seem to bother him whatsoever. As far as the durability goes the stitching on the top of the vest came apart. I applied gorilla tape to it and it's good as new. It did not affect the buoyancy or performance of the vest. The only reason why I'm not giving it five stars is because of the stitching.

I bought this for my 7 month old lab. We have a pool and she wasn’t able to figure out the swimming thing. I put the vest on her for 2 days and she stopped bringing her paws out of the water. She was comfortable and happy. On the 3rd day she jumped in before I could get the best on and swam perfectly on her own. She just needed to feel comfortable to figure it out. The vest fits well and keeps her head above water. Great buy!

Works as described, it’s light weight so my dog doesn’t mind wearing it all the time. He recently lost his eye sight, so we bought this for safety around the pool. He has fallen in the pool and we were able to promptly pull him out by the handle on top of the life jacket.

Excellent quality and a perfect fit for my French Bulldog; Bella! She is very excited that she can now go out on the kayak after being told she couldn't go before because she didn't have a life jacket and she would get very sad. She actually understands when I told her that she can go now since she has her own life jacket! It's crazy and hilarious! She jumps into the boat every time we put her life jacket on and just sits in the seat waiting to go! It's an inflatable kayak and we had blown it up checking for any issues/leaks before we go out. she's ready!! It does what it's supposed to however the fabric by the back carry handle is separated.I've had it 3 months and used it about a dozen times.I normally put him in the pool on the top step and strap him in so not carrying him.The flap under the chin isn't long enough to really keep his head out of the water. That needs to be about 1-2 inches longer to be effective.On the upside it's given him more confidence in the pool and he sometimes just floats ( he's 12 so it's a pretty big step)
