Good book, And dealer.

Am in process of reading this book and using the examples to help me learn accounting so I can handle the business side of my business myself! This book is very informative and relevant, but not in a boring kind of way. Thanks for this book!

I'm using this book to help out with my college accouting classes. So, far it has been really helpful. I would suggest this book to anyone majoring in accounting and to anyone studying for the CPA

very informative with a huge glossary which is super convenient when trying to refresh your memory without reading whole chapters.

A great reference item for accounting.

This is a very good and sound book, as it could not be any other way in view of the authors and their academic cualifications. However, it should be bought cautiously, mainly by those (like me) in the UK. The reason for this comment is that the book's content is referred repeatedly to the Acts and the regulation of the USA. Also, it explains and its content is related, to the GAAP (the rules for interpreting and practising accounting in the USA) and not the IRFS (those rules used in the UK and most of European countries). Also, all the - many - legal precedents in Court disputes mentioned to enlighten the text are American. In another words, it is a book for Americans.Another "but" I think worth mentioned is that the bulk of the book - half of it, 470 pages of 1053 - consists in a dictionary. As it dedicates many pages to filling taxes (American taxes it is) and completing legal forms (all for USA regulation), in the end the content directly related to practical accounting is quite low, all and all less than 150 pages.In conclusion, a good book, but that should be purchased only catiously - and being aware of all the above - for those based in the UK.

Quite a useful book. It serves me well when I want a quick glance at some accounting practices. It goes beyond simple accounting. There are complex chapters on management as well. It covers IFRS and US GAAP.I do not regret buying it.

I ordered this to be an accounting reference and it did not disappoint! The ~400 page dictionary section is invaluable.
