Tritium and Traser, a winning combination
I had researched the Tritium embellished watches, of and on, for several months. I had three main criteria;1. Since I am old enough to remember watches using Radium, I wanted to be somewhat confident that Tritium is safe. According to the NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) and other references, Tritium is an isotope of Hydrogen with a half-life of 12.3 years (hence the 10 year guarantee on the Tritium display). The particles generated by the Tritium cannot penetrate the even the upper layer of skin, but have enough energy to energize (excite) the phosphorus coated capsules and hence the bright blue/orange light generated. The concern over Tritium is if it is taken internally.2. Is the Tritium display easily visible at night? The display on this specific watch is very bright in total darkness. To put it simply, if there is not enough light to see the high contrast black/white watch face, you will be able to see the Tritium embellished hour/minute/second hands and the hour markers. I also appreciate the orange marker at the 12:00 position and on the rotating bezel.3.Cost vs. Quality. At $220 this watch was the best fit for me in this category. The entire device is very well made, Traser is a Swiss made product and in the two months I have worn this watch, I can attest that it is one of quality. The watch comes with a two year full warranty and when you register on-line with Traser, the company extends the warranty to three full years. I have read that some users do not like the nylon strap that comes with the watch, again I have worn this watch for two months and the band is very comfortable for me. The watch is very light and I am not aware of wearing it.Finally, I am very happy with the watch and would be hard-pressed to want to replace it anytime in the near future.

Beautiful Work Watch
March 2018 Updated:Still working well. Only issue is the watchband needs to be washed about every other month.Watch band itself is impressive.. Holds up to cleaning with Clorox or Borax cleaners equally. Watchband is extremely color-fast!At year 4 there is some loss of color on the back of the watch itself due to constant friction with watchband and my wrist, not more than expected after 4 years.I work in medical field and wash or Sanitize my hands frequently no issues with leaks. The glow from the Tritium is still strong.I'd buy againArrived quickly. Easy to set. Look at some of the other reviews to see more info. I agree with all the good reviews.

Not a $200 watch...
-The tritium is not nearly as bright as you would be led to believe. You pretty much can't see the glow unless you're in a pitch black room with your eyes somewhat adjusted to the darkness.-Band is extremely cheap. I have <$10 nato straps that are better, which is what I'm using now instead of the junk it came with. Stock strap didn't even size small enough for me.-What's here doesn't justify the $200+ price. It's basically a Casio with tritium and priced 10x more. "Swiss Made" is irrelevant for a quartz watch, where even the cheapest knock-offs will be more accurate than a $2000 mechanical watch. "Mil Spec" (according to the packaging), but only 30M of water resistance? They couldn't do any better than that?On the plus side, it's very light weight, the bezel clicks solidly, and it keeps accurate time. If it were priced at $150, I'd give it a higher rating.(Background: I own and wear several watches ranging from $50 to $3000).

Unique and functional but a little pricey
After combing through endless reviews everywhere, i decided to go with the traser code blue instead of the luminox equivalent, although the luminox reviews on amazon where substantially more in number and over all fairly positive, there seemed to be a trend towards poor quality with timekeeping, hands falling off, moisture inside the case etc...I know that many luminox owners would TOTALLY disagree with me, but these reviews were from people who owned them and attempted to get warranty work and many had serious issues doing so. I found no such issues with any review of the traser code blue anywhere on the internet. I purchased an UZI protector over two years ago, same case size, same looks almost, the exception is that the tritium markers were on the 1/4 instead of every marker. Now since i paid two hundred and twenty five for the code blue traser and only about seventy for the uzi is it worth the difference? probably not. The uzi keeps impeccable timing and the crystal is mineral glass just like the traser, and the case a couple of mm thicker. But I purchased it from a gift card given to me by my company so no loss on my part really. But if you really WANT tritium markers on every hour then go for it you wont be disappointed. The Blue is really unique and looks great even in low lighting conditions.WARNING ON BUYING THE USED TRASER CODE BLUE FROM WAREHOUSE DEALS::: The watch they advertise as a code blue is not a code blue 6508 the box SAYS P6508 code blue, but the watch on the inside of the box is a p5900 with a stainless steel bezel and green tritium. I told them that when i sent it back for a refund, but they just put it back in stock and are selling it as something it is not. You were warned.....

Not the best Lumi watch
I own quite a few of this brand watch and this is the first I own that date changes and have the time somehow changes. Don’t like the rubber band. I only use it for around the yard, other wise would have gotten ride of it.

Exceeds expectations
I really love the watch. It has a great tritium dial in low light and the blue illumination kicks in even when the lighting is only dim. Cupping the watch partially against a light you can actually see half of the face illuminated with the tritium markers while the other half has a normal daylight presentation. Finally, the watch weighs hardly anything. I forget its on. Its great reputation is well deserved. A great buy at twice the price.
