Review: Supplemented with other resources, this is a must have for beginner designers. - This book is full of useful information on explaining graphic design, the history, and some concepts. Although this should not be looked at as a beginner's crash course for aspiring graphic designers, this is definitely worth reading as it does explain what graphic design is, the history behind it, some key concepts, and career choices in the design field. Review: ordered for class - so far ive been happy, its a detailed book. but im also happy i bought it 2nd hand, this way it was cheaper and its not such an important book for the course im taking.

To call this a textbook is a stretch
Book is okay, but to call it a textbook is a joke. The information is so basic, everything could be supplemented with online material. Glad I only rented and didn't pay the textbook price.

Easy to understand.
Book is for school. I got the teacher's edition, not sure why. I don't really see what the difference is in having the teacher's edition, just hope I don't get any flack from the professor and have to return it. Nice condition and fast shipping. Super easy to understand.

Textbook worth keeping as a reference book
Well-written textbook; I used it for two semesters of Design Communication classes. Our professor used many of the exercises in the textbook as class projects. Worth keeping as a reference book.
