The full protection with performance
Hi, I've been using various Internet Security packages over the last 20+ years and I must admit, the past 7 years, Kaspersky has been my personal favourite. The installation stage is very easy and no complicated steps at all. The UI is designed with minimal distractions and its very easy to operate even by novice users. The best thing about this software is it uses very less system resources, so it does not have any impact on your CPU or Memory, meaning it runs very silently and quietly on the background, whilst you are using your system on day to day basis. If you are a home user, then I'd highly recommend this product, as this is far better for protection and value for money! Also, if you do not want you machine to slow down and lets face it, Norton, McAfee and AVG all tend to slow down the performance of your PC's, well then look no further. The main difference between Kaspersky Internet Security 2021 vs Total Security 2021 is that Total comes with everything the Internet Security package has plus VPN and Password Manager, which I do not think its that useful cause the VPN is limited, so its kinda pointless... I will be doing a full product review on my site techserks. com Thanks, TechSerks

Good software but there are problems
I've been using this anti virus software for years for both myself and my family and always found it to be reliable, but its not without its problems. First these problems. If you buy in one country but try to activate else where you can find it doesnt activate. This can be remedied by a call to customer services, but that takes time and call charges that shouldn't be necessary for an international product. This is recent problem as it has never happened before. Second; a rather sly attempt at registration of each device to get you to agree to accept marketing information. There are three layers of agreement to accept terms and conditions. None of these tell you that failure to accept will render the software non opperational, but neither is there any info that you can opt out without affecting the softwares opperation or updates. This is rather underhand and does not build confidence in your data remaining safe in Kaspersky's hands. Third; VPN is listed as unlimited yet when you access the relevant portion of the software it says the free daily limit is 300 Mb, which is next to nothing. Four; Repair OS feature is very opaque. Though it tells you a few vague details of what it proposes to do, it does not propose a backup in case of deletarious effects nor does it have a roll back feature in case it happens. Five; Data leak checker may discover you have had your data leaked, but the advice given, change your pasword, is hardly going to remedy data that has already been leaked. Methods of knowing exactly what data has been compromised and any methods of remedying this are not explored. Six; Backup. Everyone is aware that Microsoft backups are hit and miss and many rely on third party backup software. However, I'm unaware of how this backup facility would be any more likely to result in positive restoration of files than the one built into the OS. Seven; Pasword manager was hopeless. It was so labyrnthine navigating the system and so clunky I very rapidly gave up and went back to devising my own passwords and changing them regularly. Far easier and quicker by far. Parental controls; Though thes controls can be effective, their impact on the smooth running of any computer or device is little less than catastrophic. Other than for the most basic of functions, the device becomes a chore to opperate and as a parent I would spend half my time runing off to unblock restrictions on the most benign things and if there were any problems (which with Windows is as common as aches in my bad back) it became a nightmare. Not a huge fan of this feature to say the least. Now the good things; Generally a reliable suite of security software and a lower impact on the speed and smooth running of the system than some others I've used in the past. Relatively good value for money, though the auto renewal is not good value and after the first year of the "special offer" it becomes awful (this should have been in the negative aspects). Regular database updates. A nice easy to navigate interface though some of the facilities available appear more fluff than of any great use, such as network monitor. Good customer service. Though getting through to customer service can be a chore, with quite long wait times if you prefer to spreak to a real human, when you do get through I find them to be very helpful and actions taken to remedy situations are swift and effective. Probably the best aspect of the experience. Would I recommend this suite of software. Yes. For its protection against malware etc, yes without a moments hesitation. Would I say its worth the money, again yes if you look out for good offers and shop around. Would I say its the best? It could be but at the moment I'd have to say I've used suites that are easier to use and less cluttered and their Parental controls are a mess. I have heard of competitors that have brought out new features that are genuinely useful, some that are even exciting using AI systems that combat even the most sophisticated deceptions out there. Kaspersky's offering will have to up the ante if it wishes stay competative.

It was the Russians!
Despite being demonised a few years ago, I've always stuck with Kaspersky for virus protection. Yes, they are allegedly passing on details of my weekly Morrisons shop to the Russian government, but at least they don't slow my machine down. It's a smooth running security suite that has been excellent protection over the years - it has pre-empted quite a few spurious links that would have been harmful. There are features that might get in the way a bit so it does require some playing around with (I've never quite got on with Kasperskpy Money), but I got five licenses for less than twenty pounds which is superb. Amazon has once again asked for a rating on 'Thickness'. This was a digital download after payment so such considerations are difficult to explain without going to a quantum level. If Richard Feynman were still alive he would probably say that this edition of Kaspersky is a few protons thick, perfect for the casual user. It's not thick enough to wake Schrodinger's Cat (if he is even alive), but it is just thick enough to exist on some hitherto unknown quantum plain.

Safely use your devices
I have used kaspersy for a number of years and found the choice of products great to find the one to suit my needs. Easily installed and simple to use.

Great protection without impacting performance
I've been using Kaspersky Security products since KAV v3 or v4 before they started getting year names, having used Norton prior to that and an early version of Eset for a year around the time of KAV 7.0. The reason I've stuck with Kaspersky products eventually moving to Internet Security from separate products for AV and firewall is because they have always had excellent detection rates in independent comparison tests. I now use KIS on my Android phone, Windows PCs and laptops and Mac. The reason I went for KIS instead of Total Security is because I use my own separate password manager and VPN subscription so most of the extras offered by total security wouldn't be used.

Aggressive false positives
I have intermittently used Kaspersky and Norton over the last 16 years or so. I find that I fall back to using Kaspersky because it has the least impact on start up times, scanning times and it does what I need and want it to do, without having to take a degree in IT to work out how to set it up (plenty of helps notes and access to forums for other customer input and help). My only problems are that on occasion it is overly protective in deleting "risky" files, especially after updating third party software and Kaspersky confidence rating of that update has not caught up with global usage or if the software is somewhat uncommon in its use. However, when this happens, it is just a case of deleting and reaccepting that the software is from a trusted source and to exclude it as being malicious - REMEMBER - if you do make this setting change yourself, it becomes your risk though; be certain of your third party software source and reliability. The other problem is that Kaspersky ably picks out when wifi connections are not secure, very important, however, this has caused problems for my son at university where accommodation blocks share-load wifi demand and because this means jumping across different routers and IP addresses, disables the wifi connection. This has meant at least one piece of work failed to submit and consequently, the assessment module filed to complete and cause a "fail" on the assessment even though it had been completed correctly on the PC. In the end, this meant uninstalling and having to rely on Defender for protection (Norton was causing similar problems I believe, but without any kind of helpful feedback). It is only for these reasons that I cannot give 5 stars, but I would still recommend it as a strong anti-virus and security package for anyone needing solid day-to-day protection.

The bet Antivirus at the best price!
Kaspersy make the best Anti-Virus products, and Amazon offer them at the best prices - better than the offers you get from Kaspersky! Its a no-brainer.

One of the better AV products
I've always liked Kaspersky AV products and this one is no exception. It's light on computer resources and doesn't keep pestering me to buy more of their products. Also, the VPN that comes bundled with it now has unlimited data usage. I just wish it didn't originate from Russia, but I don't think there are any security concerns in that respect. Update June 2025: This product, which I paid ยฃ20.99 about a year ago has now skyrocketed to over ยฃ109. How can that be justified? I won't be renewing my subscription when it runs out, that's for sure and my original five-star review has now dropped to one star for this very reason.
