Tuners response is very quick, it immediately shows notes on display after plucking string. It is very accurate with strobe mode. Notes does not shake while tuning. Very accurate and firm reading. Low "B" string response is also awesome in bass mode. Very sturdy stainless steel clip. And bright LED display which helps tuning on stage very easy and visible. I got it from Alberto Music, packing was really good. Appreciate on it. It got deliver before it's cut off date. Tuner is also working great but I feel that I got the product which was already used before and repack it. It has scratch mark and some patches on it's screen guard. Which slightly made me disappointed. As far as product is working fine I am happy with that. desertcart should look in it and speak with Alberto music about product feedback. You can tune the strings to whatever notes you like as it is a chromatic tuner, but it does not have specific settings for open tunings. **Q: What is detection accuracy in polyphonic mode?** A: I don't know for sure but since the other answer described the display of the notes, I'm going to guess that the polyphonic mode (though dependent on your instrument) probably reads 'in tune' when the pitches are within 1-2 cents of the assumed pitches. I too would like to know Polytune's official answer to your question. I'm assuming their .02 cents refers to a totally pure, fundamental heavy articulation of the note being measured. Plucking technique and observer bias can cause all sorts of different observations (accuracy/inaccuracy) but intonation of Em7sus4 chords are definitely averages of harmonic content, I'm not sure it's possible to decide on a specific frequency (at a resolution of .02 cents) when the instrument is moving sympathetically to other pitches. The Polyphonic feature is really for when you don't have time to tune it note by note but you need to have the confidence that you'll be close enough not to come across as deaf to your own sound. **Q: Is the auto off defeatable? A few minutes is unacceptable. I need it to stay on.** A: I’m not sure what you’re using it for, but if your stringed instrument won’t stay in tune for more than a few minutes, you might need a more robust instrument. And it should stay on as long as it’s recognizing the tuning activity. I’ve never had one power off while I’m tuning up. And it looks snazzy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ if Apple made a tuner for guitars it would be like the PolyTune *by A***N on 12 September 2016* I have been relying on inexpensive clip-on tuners for quite a while and they typically last a couple of years before they become wonky and refuse to pick up notes or respond after a battery change. The first thing you notice about the Polytune is that it is very responsive to the notes, none of that delay or waiting for half a second for the note to register on the tuner. It is snappy. Also the display is just LED's and there is no digital LCD needle style readout here. As far as the looks are concerned, if Apple made a tuner for guitars it would be like the PolyTune.
