Here’s how to get 3 to 5 times more information from each spread you cast right now: Ask better questions, do all of your pre-spreadwork, and verify the accuracy of your spread before you start making any predictions. Advanced Tarot Secrets illustrates, step-by-step, how to do all of this. You are about to learn how to spot patterns in spreads, find spreads hiding in the spreads you already use, and how cards interact with each other. This book reveals the advanced spread techniques and trade secrets used every day by the top psychics in the world. It is a how-to-do-it handbook for the professional who charges $100 to $1,000 an hour to wealthy clients who expect results. These skills are essential if you are going to read for celebrity or corporate (or government) clients. Improve your accuracy and strengthen your intuition by practicing the 11 new exercises and playing the 6 new games detailed in this book. You will learn how to: Find lost items and missing people with the Tarot Manifest practically anything you desire out of thin air using your cards Read the distant past (and future); great for solving mysteries—and crimes Solve problems and brainstorm with the Tarot Overcome writer’s block and master storytelling in the section specifically for authors The Tarot is not a parlor game. In the hands of a master it is a research tool used to read the future and rewrite the events to be. This book is the official textbook for the House of White mystery school and it will take your readings to a level of mastery that puts you head and shoulders above most Tarot readers you will ever meet. There is no guesswork involved with the Tarot, or this book. There are time-tested techniques that work, and it is time that you learn and use them. Advanced Tarot Secrets picks up from where The Easiest Way to Learn the Tarot—Ever!! left off. You build on the knowledge you already have to deepen your bond with your cards and make them reveal layers of information from the same exact spreads you are using right now. We start you off by learning and doing new exercises, all designed to strengthen your intuition. These simulate the exact methods you use in “real life” readings, and make you infinitely more comfortable reading for other people. Next we introduce you to 6 new games that teach you how to see the various layers of meaning each card offers, and how cards interact in a spread. These games help you understand how the Tarot reflects the intricacies of daily life: In a simple ten-card spread you can see more details than three other people reading the same spread. Next come advanced spread basics and advanced spread techniques . Here you apply everything you learn in the exercises and games: Quick and easy ways to clear your deck between clients (useful at parties or working psychic fairs and hotlines) Why every spread needs a protagonist How to instantly verify the accuracy of your spread (no more bad readings— ever ) How to modify your favorite spread to meet your needs for each reading Hidden spreads, spread patterns and themes, the four passes through a spread every reading should have When to use clarification or expansion cards, how to read cards face down—and why How to give accurate “no-spread readings” And several other advanced techniques Once you understand all of these things, you can dowse with the Tarot, work on archaeological expeditions, work for treasure hunters, work with stock analysts to predict economic trends, remote view (we don’t call it “spying”), solve any problem, design your own spreads and decks, and charge a LOT more for your services. Advanced Tarot Secrets is not “yet another book on the Tarot,” it is a Tarot revolution. Review: Great Follow-Up To The Previous Book - Like many of the previous reviewers, I read this book after finishing The Easiest Way To Learn Tarot Ever. I found that book to be an excellent introduction to Tarot. It’s very much a stand-alone resource, with card definitions, exercises, and a good collection of spreads from basic to more advanced. (He starts with one card spreads and moves all the way to a modified Celtic Cross and a 12 card astrological spread.) The exercises are geared towards building a relationship with the deck, and (once you’ve mastered card meanings) giving more fluid, intuitive readings. Advanced Tarot Secrets continues where the last book left off. While the prior book is geared towards getting a person from a beginner level to proficiency, ATS is geared towards increasing that proficiency to the point that one could read professionally for others. The book is divided into five sections: - New exercises - New games - Advanced spread basics - Advanced spread techniques - Fun things you can do with the Tarot The first two sections will be familiar to anyone who’s read the first book. It’s a new set of exercises and new ways of learning the cards. The next section, advanced spread basics, is where things kick up a notch. It gives examples of what questions to ask, and what type of spread to use for different sorts of questions, and what to expect when working with clients. Advanced spread techniques, the next section, talks about building a connection with clients, and goes into great depth about how to work with the Celtic Cross variant taught in the previous book. Here the reader is presented with multiple ways to analyze the same spread to yield a greater amount of information. Six pages (with examples) are devoted to what Dusty calls ‘mini-spreads’ found within the Celtic Cross, and explain what sort of information can be gleaned from each one. The last section of the book is devoted to advanced uses for the Tarot. It’s 75 pages long, and 45 pages are devoted to manifesting with Tarot cards. By this point the book has taken us beyond Tarot for divination, and into its more esoteric uses. I am writing this review approximately a year after purchasing both books. I've worked my way through the first book and am currently working my way through this one. Dusty's writing style is casual and to the point, and he's very good at getting his knowledge of the cards across in a way the reader can benefit from. Both books purchased together are less than fifty dollars. For that price, a whole lot of knowledge is provided – enough to take a person from novice to professional, if that person genuinely applies his or herself to the task. So yeah - five stars. Review: A MUST HAVE FOR YOUR TAROT LIBRARY!!!! - Advanced Tarot Secrets is the most profound book I have found on reading Tarot ever! This book, and his foundational Tarot book (The White Book), "The Easiest Way to Learn the Tarot Ever!!" should be in every serious Tarot student's library. ATS is definitely NOT for beginners! If you want to develop your Tarot skills, start with Dusty's White Book first. Then you can take your Tarot reading skills to a whole other level with the Black Book (ATS). This Man knows his stuff! No fluffy B.S. here! Each page is cram-packed with valuable knowledge. You will find games and exercises that continue to help you develop your connection with your cards (like in the White Book), but then Dusty gob smacks you with info on how to go much deeper into your readings by showing you why the Celtic Cross spread is a workhorse overview spread. He delves into how to look for patterns in your spreads, and shows you around 14 different hidden spreads within the CC spread that you can use to gather more information. He utilizes a four pass system of reading a spread to really provide the most satisfying and deep reading possible. He even teaches you how to verify a spread to make sure you didn't just plop down some random cards! But wait! There's more! Dusty teaches you how to manifest things in your life using the cards and card positions as a visual reference, problem solve using the Tarot, how to use the cards to develop characters and plots if you need inspiration as a writer, and so much more! Dusty writes in a very down to earth and entertaining way, so this book will definitely keep you engaged throughout. I live in the mountains of Colorado, and my husband and I were preparing our emergency evacuation list in case we had to leave due to the wildfires. Dusty's White Book and ATS book were the only books on that list for those precious items that I had to take with me (along with my favorite deck, of course!) ;-) That's how strongly I feel about the valuable information inside these books! If you are really serious about taking your Tarot reading to the next level, look no further than any product put out by Dusty and the House of White. You will not be disappointed!

Challenging and Fun!
I have read Dusty’s first book, “The Easiest Way to Learn the Tarot - Ever!!”. I have been doing various readings for 36 years and tarot readings for 24 years. Needless to say I have collected many books. This book was one of my absolute favorites. But wait, I already have reviewed this book and so I wanted to comment on his other book, “Advanced Tarot Secrets (Aphrodite's Book of Secrets) (Volume 2)” I have to say that his second book is not for the novice which makes sense being that it is “advanced”. I also noticed that it is especially for readers that are going to be seeing clients privately or that will being able to having extended sessions, if that is what they choose to do. There are excellent examples of work with the Celtic Cross going through many layers to draw meanings. This is wonderful if you have the time to sit with a client for an hour or longer and if your client has the funds to pay for that type of reading. These are individuals that are willing to pay $150 - $250 at least for a reading…maybe even $300. I do see these ideas as unique and innovative. However, for someone that is working on a phone line or webcam line, the complexity of these readings is just not practical and Dusty is very honest about these limitations. I need to be clear; I think there is a time and place for this type of complex readings. You never know when you will need to be expansive in your readings. I have to mention the games that are continued in this edition. They continue to be fun and expand our learning of the tarot. I like when Dusty speaks of expansion cards and clarification cards. He teaches us how to get the most out of our cards and he encourages us to use our imaginations and not to be stuck with just book meanings. If for no other reason, you have to get this book so you can read the section on “Fun Things You Can Do With the Tarot”. My favorite was manifesting but, that is just me. He goes into great detail on manifesting with the Round About Spread. If you don’t know this spread and you are a reader, then you are missing out. Finally, my favorite thing about the book is that Dusty gives his readers every opportunity to become the best they can be regarding the tarot. He has websites set up for people to go to and join. He offers great, cutting edge classes that will rattle your brains as they make you want to learn more and more. He is always encouraging his students to do more and learn more and be better. His expectations are high. His book met my expectations. Helen O’Bannon Helen’s Light Readings on Etsy.com

Tons of Ideas!
I facilitate a monthly Tarot discussion group for a non-profit organization. There are tons of ideas in this book for group exercises, games, and even some fun facts thrown in. The author's no-nonsense attitude may put some people off, but you can't say he's not genuine about himself and his way of thinking. It has been a way for me to gather new and different ideas for the lesson plans and handouts that I create without having to filter through the overwhelmingly mind-numbing amount of information out there on the internet. It's all here in one place and the possibilities are endless if you are willing to use your imagination and work to blend in your own ideas and knowledge. The 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the writer's arrogant, and sometimes condescending style of writing can become irritating for some.

Honest to goodness Advanced Secrets indeed
I had no idea how much I needed this book until I bought it and read it twice. Though some of the stuff discussed by Dusty were actual stuff I was already doing when I was doing my cartomancy, the other potential uses for Tarot were quite indispensable. Not sure how many books out there discuss those things but this one sure does. I appreciate the manifesting and problem solving aspects shared in the book, like for once instead of looking at the Tarot deck mostly for woo-woo stuff, you can actually just solve some problems in there (just pluck cards and make a story lol) and if you want to add some of the woo-woo after you figured out how to deal with that annoying co-worker in the best, possible way, just get some guidance from the cards. I just started doing the exercises and games but these things actually helped me get off the boredom train and simply enjoy each day with my deck. As a person who appreciates both in-the-box and out-of-the-box learning, this book is a great sequel to the white book. I even use the steps in here whenever I get called to do some spreads with my playing card divination deck, and you know something is totally legit when you can use it in your other methods and equipment. I really appreciate that. A word of caution though: I sincerely recommend getting really, really acquainted with your deck before doing the stuff in here. Also, Dusty wasn't joking when he said that this book is not for the beginners. Seriously, a strong foundation and trust is needed with your deck before you do the stuff here. Otherwise, things just won't fall into place and it can be a waste of time and energy. Even I had to dig out a lot just so I could fully understand the stuff in here. But if you're ready and confident, seriously, get this book. It's well worth the price, for the sheer amount of tips, tricks, and woo-woo life hacks in here. Or if you just want to amp up your fun side using the Tarot. Whatever works for you.

Even more information from his first book...
I don't know how Dusty does it, but he managed to squeeze out even more information for those who are wanting to learn more than/ seasoned tarot reader. As stated from previous reviews, this is not a beginners book (see his "Easiest way to learn tarot" for that purpose). This book dives further into exploring different avenues of reading a Celtic Cross Spread, pulling MUCH MUCH more out of it then just going through the different cards and being done. If after reading this book, you don't know at least 10 or more ways of pulling more information out of a single spread then either 1.You didn't do the exercises and work from the book, 2. You don't know/understand the basics of tarot yet 3. I'd say dumb, but that would be a bit mean... With this book you are given even more exercises that take the earlier book a step further and in this book he has even given you games that can be played with fellow readers (which is always a fun option than studying alone.. which can be a bit of bore.) Dusty's goal is to make it fun, and he does a great job of this. Also in this book he gives over 75 pages of "Fun things you can do with the tarot". But don't take my word for it, buy your own copy [And don't forget to buy his first book if you don't have that one either (you'll be glad you did)]. And don't be afraid to use all the resources he offers that are available to you to use: online classes via webinars, study groups, free podcasts, one-on-one instruction, etc. Dusty offers a no-nonsense approach to learning, and as someone who just started learning from scratch in August 2013, I can honestly say I have learned SO MUCH from him and still continue to do so (I bought the first book, signed up for his webinars and also took advantage of study buddies, as this is something I put serious time and effort into wanting to learn). Of course you don't have to go to my extreme, and can just buy the book, but if you are even just starting out, BUY THE BOOKS, its so easy you won't be disappointed. I just wished I had access to these books 10 years ago!

Must Read!
This book is advanced! Without the previous experience with The Easiest Way to Learn Tarot Ever by Dusty White, many readers may find themselves getting in over their head. It is certainly of benefit to have read the previous book as this book really does build on what was covered before. The exercises and games are challenging, too. Some of these may never be mastered by most of us. In this book, Dusty continues to be extremely generous with the amount of information and personal experience he shares with his students. Without revealing too much, there are concepts here which don’t typically get taught anywhere else unless, of course, you choose to join a mystery school which may not be for everyone. If you practice and persevere with what is taught here, there is no doubt you will hold the secret to improving the quality of life for yourself and for those around you. You may need to read it a few times and you may need to read between the lines. However, everything you need is right there. This book encourages one to take the next step from passively reading and interpreting the cards to becoming an active agent in the field of Tarot. However, this intimate relationship with the cards not only improves the accuracy and reliability of one’s reading, but also necessitates increased personal responsibility as one’s influence over what is yet to happen grows. Perhaps the one thing that can be improved, is the quality of images throughout the book. As much as we need theoretical information, larger images in full colour would better support the learning process. After all, the art of Tarot is fundamentally dependent on our visual senses. Some more space for notes would have been useful, too. While Dusty dedicates his latest offering ''to anyone who can stay awake to the end of this book'', I personally found it very engaging and compelling me to learn more. On the whole, this is definitely a book that I will return to again and again in the future.

If you're considering this book, just buy it
This book (and the other tarot book by the same author) will make you a better reader. You have to do the exercises in order to improve, but that's true of any study system - no book will really make you better passively, you have to work at it. But these books give you the exercises so you CAN work at it! They turn your tarot cards into something you can pick up and play with any time. The really cool thing about the advanced book is that you learn to use your cards for manifestation, or even to build a story if you're a writer - things you might not even realize you can do with tarot cards.

Another brilliant Tarot book
This book is a conclusion to The Easiest Way to Learn the Tarot - EVER!! It’s also jam-packed with exercises, games and spreads, advanced spreads and fun things to do with the Tarot. Both of these books are all you ever need on your tarot journey as they are incredibly informative, helpful and practical. I think they will certainly keep you super busy learning new techniques. The ‘manifestation with tarot cards’ technique alone is worthy of buying the book. There are also free resources at the back of the book. Enjoy - I am 😀

Brilliant so far
I haven't quite finished this book yet. I say finished which is the wrong term to use of course, as this book will be read over and over and delved into a million times and more. I love Dusty's work and have his last book too, which is another brilliant helpful way to learn, The Easiest Way as it says in the title, and is true to it's word. I could have had this book (ATS) for free, as Dusty had offered some who gave first reviews on his last book a free copy of this one. I'm afraid I couldn't wait on it coming from America....I wanted the book....and NOW!!!! lol!! Anyway I've got it, and as usual Dusty explains everything in beautiful, simple terms. He even uses little scenario's with the cards speaking to each other as a kind of aid memoire. He does this to great use in the last book too. This book, as the title suggests is more advanced, but still in an easy style which is understandable to all who have dipped into the wonderous world of Tarot. It's full of games and exercises to help you get even more in depth information from your spreads. Information. so often missed by a lot of readers. Dusty also wanders a little down the path of astrology and astrological associations in this book, though not too much. Just enough to let you get the idea. I do believe there will be another book to cover this subject in the pipeline at some point. Anyway, loads to do in this book, I don't want to go into too much detail and waste it for you....... If you love everything Tarot you'll love Dusty's work on youtube and in his books.........Buy this!!!

An excellent Tarot resource
An excellent Tarot resource, good for someone who is already familiar with Tarot. Many useful tips and exercises, such as to think - as you go through your day - which Tarot card would best describe the situation you are experiencing. Easy to fit into your day and build up your Tarot "muscles". Also loved the author's in-depth analysis of the Celtic Cross and multiple techniques to get additional information out of it. Another good reminder is to articulate the question you are asking the cards as clearly as you can. If you've been reading Tarot for a while and built up a library of resources, you might already be using some of the techniques described in this book. But I would still recommend it, as a very engaging refresher.
