EISCOErlenmeyer Flask, 500ml - Borosilicate Glass - with PTFE Screw Cap - Conical Shape - White Graduations

I bought this flask for work with the synthesis of a very small amount of sulfur dichloride, and to do that i needed chlorine. So, in this beaker, i reacted hydrochloric acid & TCCA, and after using the chlorine, i let it vent some gas out of the top. I then sealed it and left it on my workbench because the yellow gas inside the beaker was kinda neat, plus i thought the reagents finished their reaction. Spoiler: They were not! Last night, about 4 days after i sealed it, the beaker exploded. Pieces went everywhere, thankfully nobody was hurt. I cleaned up the accident properly, and thought to myself how good of a seal that beaker must have had. Anything less than 5 stars would be a folly.

This flask is wonderful not only because of the great look but also the right seal.

I like the thickness of the glass and the quality of the cap and its seal. At half the price it would be 5 stars and no complaints.

Sturdy, quality caps with good seals. Works well when on a hot plate too.

Every time I try to use a mag stirrer with this bottle, the stirrer gets off balanced after a few seconds and stops spinning. I haven't had this issue with other erlenmeyer flasks. It seems like the inside bottom is uneven. Outside of that, it's a great flask and includes a PTFE insert.

If the pour ring is important to you then know that this one does not have the pour ring like others do.
