Cute little rocket, quick build

This kit is super easy to build, is of top quality material, and looks great right out of the package without any painting or finishing. It flies beautifully. Since it's light and stable, it absolutely RIPS off the pad! You can expect 1,000 feet with C size motors, and if you're willing to try a D10 composite motor from Aerotech, this little guy flies right out of site. Your field size needs to be large enough for these flights.Quest makes a nice alternative to Estes but, alas, is being absorbed by Aerotech and essentially phased out. Get these beautiful, colorful kits while you can because they won't be available for much longer.

In my sons own words, "it reached for the starts dad!" That about sums it up.

The Astra III by Quest is just like building a 'snap-tite" model kit, the difference being you can FLY this model after the glue dries! The parts are ALL pre-colored , so NO painting is necessary. Everything self aligns and the only glue used is plastic model cement! Care must be taken when installing the motor tube into the injection molded fin assembly unit, it is easy to bend or crease the edges of the motor tube if you are not careful.The brightly colored Quest parachute makes it easy to spot during recovery and the brightly colored rocket-red fins and nose cone and pre-colored bright yellow body tube provides plenty of contrast. It made me want to build some more these "Quick-Kits" real soon. Check this design and the entire series out.
