Nice industrial looking fan
I wanted a fan to replace one that was damaged, and this time decided to pay my contractor to install it as DIYing fans is annoying. To avoid any issues, I wanted to buy one that had regular bulbs that are easy to replace. This fan has a nice industrial look, the remote functions great, and it's really quiet with good airflow. No complaints - I've had other Honeywell fans for longer with no issues so I suspect this will also last me a long time.Note: the product arrived with one of the three included bulbs broken, so maybe throw a 3-pack of bulbs in the cart just in case. I received a some store credit to buy other bulbs after asking for replacements.

Make sure you are not using a dimmer!!
I was very close to leaving a terrible review and returning my fan. So I'll go in to detail a bit. I'm happy I didn't because it was all my fault. I used to work as an electrician years back for a few years. Setting up a fan is pretty easy for me as I've had experience installing them before. This fan however does take more work then most on set-up. The ridiculous way of installing each fan blade takes time and patience. Having said that I was done with my install in under an hour. I turn it on, and its obnoxiously loud. I mean you can hear the motor from the other room. Also the remote and lights are finicky. Lights started to strobe at dimmed levels, leaving the strobe affect in my eyes for a while after trying to troubleshoot it. Also the fan would sway a lot on high speed. When I changed speeds you could noticeably see the electricity draw in the lights dimming. I was pissed. I thought I purchased the lemon and would have to go through the exchange process, not have a light in my ceiling for a few days etc etc.. Long story short I should have known better. I have a dimmer installed as a light switch, I had forgotten about it because I was focusing on the remote I guess. (My way of excusing a rookie mistake). Once I realized this mistake, I honestly didn't think it would make the difference it did. All the issues I had before left. Motor worked very very quietly. Lights don't flicker. Remote is much more responsive. Fan doesn't sway anymore. However I do have another bad review for the fan. The light sockets are super cheap. Its annoying getting your lightbulbs in the sockets without stripping them or breaking them. But that's such a small complaint after all my other issues that I don't care. So this review is more of a warning to the people that would make the same mistake I made. Don't use a dimmer with your fan unless of course its the correct dimmer.'Long rant over. Hope I help at least 1 person from going through all this.

Great light!
Perhaps I’m a strange person, but the most important thing to me in a fan is the light. I was so tired of not being able to get a decent amount of light from our fans so specifically found one without the globe. This is a winner. The bulbs it comes with are ok but not as bright as I wanted, so swapped them out for 4000 lumen 60 watt bulbs and it’s wonderful. I can finally see! And it’s easy enough to dim if I want less light. After installing ours my husband was frustrated with how dark it was in my son’s room, so we got another one.We like the look of it and the fan works well with no noise on either. I don’t find it fun to install fans but this one wasn’t any worse than others. At least the sensor easily fit into the housing. No complaints here.

Not the best
After finally getting it put up. The instructions were not easy. After months of the Fan being installed. I realized it doesn't move air good at all and the 40w max bulbs are very very low light. 40w is the max allowed. But it is very quiet!! It's pretty!! The remote is fixed to the wall and that works great.

Worth it! Love these fans!! Here’s why…..
I bought these fans (2 of this model) for the rental property I live in. My landlord paid for their electrician to come and install them. The electrician had no problem installing the first one, and had to return the next morning to install the second one. He had a heck of a time trying to get the remote kit to fit inside the fan and it took him close to 30 minutes (griping and almost yelling at the fan) to finally get it to fit. So even though they were the same exact fan, one was increasingly more difficult to install, as I saw in some other reviews. The noise level isn’t bad, but on high it makes a low pitched “whirring” noise that takes some getting used to. Overall it’s a quiet enough fan and you get used to the whirring sound almost immediately. It’s just not totally silent like I know some fans can be.The remote is easy to use, very self explanatory and I have no issues with it! Easy peasy!!The one thing I did have to do was find “daylight” lightbulbs that would be bright enough but no higher than 7 watts. I’m not a fan of the dim, golden hue given off by the lights that come with it. I like white light, and because it’s the overhead light in my bedroom, the brighter the better. I managed to find a four pack of 7 watt daylight bulbs, equivalent to 50 watt bulbs. It works. All the rest of the 7 watt bulbs I found were equivalent to 40 watt bulbs. The max of 7 watts is per the manufacturer. I saw a few reviews where other people put in any bulb they could find and it melted the bulb “outlet” (the spot where the bulb screws in). So I’m definitely trying to avoid that from occurring.Overall these are great fans for a smaller room that give off a good amount of air and definitely help keep my upstairs bedrooms cooler, so my central A/C was able to go from 72 (before the fans) to 75 and save me some money!!
