Easy to use. Perfect poach in 4 min 30 sec once water is boiling. Despite what others have complained about the egg wells do NOT overflow. Grade A Large Eggs fit about half way up the egg well. 1. Put an inch to an inch and a half of water in the pan. It should come just up to the bottom of the egg well. Set to boil. 2. Grease the egg wells with a little butter or cooking spray. Crack eggs in them being careful not to break the yolk. 3. When water is boiling, put the eggs in and cover. Let cook for 4 minutes 30 seconds. I did some experimenting with times and for me the above comes out PERFECT every time.

Arrived quickly, exactly as described! I had it two weeks and have eaten more perfectly cooked poached eggs & eggs Benedict in that time than in the last five years! Followed the directions: 3/4” of boiling water, sprayed Pam in the egg “holder” and with the egg in the “holder put on a lid for 3min 15 seconds. The eggs dump right out with no sticking and are poached perfectly! Easy cleanup and storage. Absolutely the perfect egg poacher vis-à-vis cooking and clean-up! A+

This works great! My biggest issue with the poacher I had previously is that it was hard to clean, the egg would get very stuck in the cup no matter how much oil I used. But this product doesn’t give me that issue at all!!! Took a little longer to cook my eggs than some products since I have to use a medium sized pan for this, but they cooked very evenly and well. The quality feels nice too!

I like the way the unit sits in a pot. You need a pot that's 8 inches in diameter to fit it in. It poaches eggs nicely and the cups are plenty big enough to add other ingredients, like veggies. But while the instructions recommend adding a thin coating of oil to the cups to facilitate easier cleanup, they also say that the non-stick surface itself is good enough for relatively easy cleaning. But that's not really true in my experience. The first time I used it without oil and no amount of soaking would soften the cooked-on egg enough to clean it with even a non-scratch cleaning pad. My only option that I could figure out was to use my thumbnail to scrape it all off. Luckily I hadn't cut my nails in nearly two weeks, so they were long enough to do the job. And fingernails are soft enough they don't seem to scratch these non-stick surfaces. But it took a loooong time to scrape away all the cooked-on egg. So definitely, if you want easy cleanup at all, then use oil in the cups...

This poacher improve our breakfast with perfect eggs. We are egg eaters and the eggs from this poacher taste great and much healthier than frying. Eggs are done in about 5 minutes. We wish we had bought this poacher sooner.

I frequently cook poached eggs for breakfast. No matter what, some of the egg gets stuck to the bottom of my SS pot and it's difficult to get off even if I soak it right away. That led me to the search for the perfect poacher. I've tried the silicone cups a few times in the past but it took too long and I wasn't satisfied with the results. I looked at the electric models many times, but I always rejected them. I don't need seven poached eggs. Just one or two. Plus they cook in the shell and I didn't know how that would work. I found a two egg poacher, but the reviews complained that with the insert, the lid didn't fit. Scratch that one. Then I saw this. Hmm. One or two eggs. No shell involved. Use my own pots. Price was right. Good reviews. I thought I was going to have to experiment before I had the right level of water and the right cooking time, but I didn't. The instructions said 4-5 minutes. I had plastic chopsticks and after 4 minutes, I poked the egg with the chopstick. Perfect. The next day, I went for hard boiled. I had been poaching eggs for 8 minutes to get hard boiled eggs without the shell so I tried it with this poacher. Used the chopstick method again and found 11 minutes was perfect. I used X-Large Eggs, a 10" skillet and three cups of water. The 8" skillet fits the cradle, but the lid was too shallow to fit correctly. One caution: The buttons on the top are cool enough to pick up, but the water is still putting out steam which can burn. Now I keep a cup of cold tap water to pour in the pan to stop the steam. Very satisfied and it's cute, too, sitting on the shelf of my stove.

I absolutely love this egg poacher set! The stainless steel rack is sturdy and fits perfectly in my pot, and the nonstick cups make removing the eggs a breeze — no sticking or mess at all. I’ve tried other poachers in the past, but this one stands out for both quality and simplicity. Highly recommended!
