Great for beginners
This is amazing for beginners! I’ve been studying for a while but this book really helps me understand topics i had trouble with. You learn a lot and get better information. Definitely worth the money!

The book is pretty good at explaining how Japanese is spoken. It provides a lot of information and is a great book for someone who wants to learn the basics to someone who wants to speak it frequently. The only issue is that the audio tracks listed in the book is not available on their website unless you want to make an extra purchase.

My nephew took my book and won't give it back.
I really don't know what to say here. Never really got the chance to even open it before my visiting nephew saw it and promptly packed it in his suitcase right before he drove home. I can say that according to him, it's doing wonders in helping him brush up on what Japanese he remembers from college and is absolutely wonderful in that he can keep reading and rereading when he's having issues understanding something. If he loves it that much, then it must be good for a person who has an understanding of Japanese that is somewhere between beginner and possibly intermediate,

This book teaches you so much + important basics.

They go into alot of detail but the book is split up into many sections and everything is really easy to understand it focuses more on pronouncing, speaking, and reading things in Japan than it does writing which I appreciate alot since I'm only traveling abroad to see family and not to go to school I already knew a bit of Japanese before getting the book but this book was more helpful than the ones I was originally taught with
