Let me just say that this is a really nice little kit for the price this is real glass tube it's got a nice brush the hydrometer itself is excellent accurate way more so than the one I'm replacing and it's got a nice little thing on the tube to make it easy to read all in all just a great purchase couldn't be happier with this

Triple hydrometer is probably a must to most home brewers because it determines with many variables but to me it’s a tool for making quality mead. The liking of this product for me is the glass test jar/tube. I’ve been searching through the internet and it was very difficult to find a set to have the glass test tube versus majority of the sets out there has plastic, which in some reviews, are hard to read due to the non-translucent test tube.

The test jar is why I bought this bundle. It's a perfect size- small enough to minimize waste, large enough for the hydrometer to not touch the sides and get a good reading. The plastic bumper is appreciated. The only thing keeping me from say it's perfect is that I'd prefer a polygon base and/or bumper so it couldn't accidentally roll off the counter if it's on it's side. The included brush works fine although it'd be better if it had more bristles on the end to make sure you can get the bottom perfectly clean. The easy solution to that is just rinse it as soon as you get your measurements and cleaning is a breeze.The hydrometer works perfectly and is pretty accurate compared to my old one. The downside is that the color-coded zones make it harder to read than if it were just black text on white. Because of that I just use my older, easier to read hydrometer. If your vision is better than mine, or perhaps just have better lighting, you might like it better than I do.Honestly if I broke the test jar I'd probably just buy this kit again.

I really didn’t know what to expect, but it came with some instructions on how to determine Finished alcohol Percentage, a cloth bag for the glass test tube, a cleaning brush and a plastic container for the hydrometer. Great product! I recommend getting this, if your making wine or beer.

First off the package came about 3 days late, but I wont hold that against the seller. (tracking showed me that it was sitting in my local FedEx facility for those 3 days) With that being said, I absolutely love this hydrometer. Graduated cylinder seems durable and well made glass, not like the cheap flimsy plastic ones. Also got an email from the company with some useful downloads, an extra perk that wasn't listed. 100% worth every penny!

I was totally confused and overwhelmed, until I downloaded their booklet available FREE which answered all my questions. Now that I know what I am doing, this is great! Thanks for the helpful links and even the photos here on Amazon, as even with my readers I couldn't quite make out the small print, but thanks to blowing up the pic here, I now know what I am looking at! Not the fault of the meter; you can only print so big on this kind of tool!

I received the package already opened and so I assume it had been returned. I'm not certain if the glass meter is supposed to look melty like that (sort of like glue?). I bought this as a present for my father and I'm pretty unsure on if it needs to be returned or not.
