Roebic K-67 Biodegradable Granular Drain & Trap Cleaner, 16 oz

I bought this thinking it will last longer than liquid. It’s a bit more work involved, I did use it 4 nights in a row as suggested ( after everyone was in bed) to let it sit at least 6 hours before using any water. It has so far resolved the drain flys, it appears to have cleared most of the odor. I didn’t have clogged drains so can’t speak to that. Will give it more time to permeate the gunk build up. May add in the liquid to help if necessary. It has been well worth the cost at this point and appears to be effective for what I needed. It’s easy enough to use just need to mix with water and pour into drain, the liquid will possibly be easier for me.

I bought this and forgot I had it. When drain flies appeared I was trying everything possible and nothing was working. I used this stuff in every drain/toilet and it completely got rid of the drain flies. It's been months and they are still gone. I did it 2 days in a row (not sure I needed to do it twice, but wanted those things gone LOL :)

I've been purchasing this product to help alleviate clogs from my kitchen sink drain. Older house, smaller drain pipes in basement, etc. I often had to clean out the pipes in basement every year but since I've started using this product I've only had to clean it once in last few years. I probably got lax on using the product and the grease and food particles slowly clogged the pipes. But I've been very diligent since and hope that this product continues to "eat away" at the grease and food particles which end up in the drain (difficult to train the family to not use sink as a disposer which we don't have). People should not expect this product to unclog a completely plugged drain. This is meant for continual maintenance. What i don't like is the huge price increase. Went from $9.63 for 16oz to over $17 on amazon. Just found this product at Fleet Farm locally for $8.49. Thanks for introducing me to this product Amazon but twice the price I need to buy elsewhere.

May not work all the way the first time, but repeat a few times a few days apart and it worked on the garbage-disposal sink where 5 gallon buckets of hot water and a plunger didn't.

I read a review in which this product was given 3 stars because of no scoop and it didn't dissolve well. The products purpose is to clear the drains. I have lived at my residence for 11 years and the water in my bathtub has never gone straight down the drain without being backed up or waiting to drain. I used a shaker/blender bottle, opened the drinking spout, then poured the contents directly over the drain. I used hot water and opened the spout ever 5 seconds to release the hot pressure in the bottle. Great product. If it works give it the flowers it deserves.

What used to work overnight is no longer available. I ordered the K-67BAG for slow kitchen trap and drain. It did not work like the old SGP (Soap Grease Paper residues) Roebic product. There was no improvement in a week of applications, following directions. I ordered K 67BAG because Roebic changed the product I bought for years, the SGP product, and renamed it "Main Line", which also, as Mainline has no noticeable effect. I won't be buying this product as it does not appear to work in my kitchen trap nor the bathroom trap. Don't like to knock a product, but this one just did not perform at all like the old one. Your mileage may vary.

I've been using Roebic drain buildup remover for years and it works great. It's made of enzymes that actually digest the soap and other crud that lines the pipes. If you use it once a month your drains will remain open and clear. It's not a chemical drain opener for a clogged drain, it's a drain maintenance product that you use monthly to keep your drains in good condition.

don't. buy. this. Standard liquid plumber or similar is a million times better. The instructions stated to dissolve a "scoop" in 12 oz warm water. Ok, there was no scoop. So I guessed, about 2 tablespoons maybe. It never dissolved. Literally like sand. I did it four times with varying temperatures of water. Ok, so, maybe that is what it's supposed to be like. Then, I put the slurry in the drain, trying to scoop all the little sand pebbles into the actual drain. I waited overnight, flushed with plenty of hot water, chasing the pebbles down the drain. The instructions said maybe you need to do this four times, the longer you leave it in the better. So I left it in for 24 hours and repeated three times. NOPE. No progress. Then I went to the grocery store and bought Drano. One application, done. This product is worthless.

I have had a kitchen sink that has had problems with clogging for years and I have tried draino, liquid plumbr, and snaking. After two treatments it is flowing much better. I will use a couple more and then move to a monthly maintenance routine to keep it clear. I wish I had found this sooner! After the first treatment I rinsed with hot water as directed and it seemed like there was a lot of gunk that needed to flush down the pipe and then it drained much faster. Seems like a good product.
