Dogfish m.2 2242 ssd

Wow, easy to install, perfect for expanding storage on this 10.1" windows tablet. Followed the Fusion5 user manual instructions. Now I can store my own files and use the cloud for backup, not the only source for storage. Lovin' it! Go for it! No comments on longevity for now; just got it today. It is wise to backup regardless how reliable the drive. (I once unintentionally dropped a tablet in a creek; couldn't save anything from it. Thankfully everything important was backed up to a cloud service.)

Came on time and works as expected.

Bought an inexpensive Evolve III laptop. Added this SSD to dual boot into Linux for some tethered photography and ham radio software. This is a perfect addition to any laptop with an M.2 slot such as is found in the Evolve III laptops.

Took me a few minutes. Get the ass installed. Now I am looking for a heat sing for the sad, that would fit a fire at t8 plus

I installed this into my Lenovo Thinkpad workstation class laptop, installed Ubuntu Budgie Linux with encrypted ZFS and started to put data on it. The laptop hung 1-2 times and I rebooted, but hoped that it was not a sign... I should have listened to my gut. 2 days after installation, the laptop hung and I rebooted again. It came up to GRUB and hung, waiting for the drive to appear. It gave a detection error on another boot that I cannot remember (POST message from BIOS). Because I had a virtual machine file on it that was temporarily ONLY on this drive, I tried it in my other M.2 slot and it did the same thing. It detected in the BIOS originally as "Dogfish 2TB" if I recall correctly. Now, it detected as "SM2259AB-10-00811000". I put this same stick into my desktop PC with an mSATA adapter and it detected the same way, but this gave more detail - it was a 1.0 GB disk now! I requested a replacement from Amazon and received one yesterday, installed Linux on to it - or at least TRIED to... at about 95% into the installation, it hung. As I expanded the installation window to see the terminal output, I saw "Error sending ATA command..." on device sda. Thinking that this might be my USB stick (ok, hopeful thinking) I re-created a boot stick with the same ISO on it... I got to the point of starting to partition, and it told me there was not enough space to install Ubuntu! So, I checked... and this drive is now detecting as "SM2259AB-10-00811000" as well!! Another 2TB drive magically converted to a 1GB drive. All of this happened while the laptop was fully assembled with the back cover on and sitting securely on a table for installation. I cannot think of any possible way that I damaged these units. I will not be buying another Dogfish.

I got this to replace a mechanical HDD in my rejuvenated 1st generation applet tv. Runs smooth and less heat transfer. I put this in an IDE adapter And restored my Apple TV to its original format, then added OSMC to gain Kodi 17 functions, to watch my media on my local network. Old dog still has new tricks.

Easy to install. I use Linux distro so installs are always easy for me. Overall product looks great and shipped fast.

Good little device that works well. The price is right. Make sure you want a SATA device and not a NVME. This Is SATA. Not NVME. This means it is far slower than a NVME.

After hours of messing around in CMD and trying countless cords and readers, it went to a tech who also fought and lost complete dud. Beware.

Instalado en una thinkpad T470. No es un NMVe, es un Sata, así que no tendrá super velocidades, pero funciona como se espera y es de la capacidad publicitada. Además, el website de su fabricante está activo. Lo recomiendo y lo compraría de nuevo.

Hay que tener cuidado ya que el espacio de mi Lenovo dónde va justo el SSD es muy justo y no permite por 1 milímetro o mililitro y medio y no lo puedes poner

Funciona increíble y no me costó trabajo formatear el equipo para que el sistema operativo iniciara desde el ssd, bastante bueno y barato!
