When I originally found this on Amazon, I saw it as the perfect solution to a cheap gaming steering wheel and couldn’t wait to get it. If you’re somewhat handy, installing it onto the controller was no big deal and it stays in place well and won’t fall off as you're using it.HOWEVER…….The problem is that once installed on the controller, you completely lose the use of the DP (Directional Pad as well as the RS (Right Stick) because both are covered by this Mini Steering Wheel.In other words closely look at the picture of the item to see that those controller buttons are covered.When looking at the picture, I thought there was enough clearance to get to those buttons – there isn’t.I use Horizon Forza 4 and the DP and RS are needed to navigate around the game. The only way around the problem of not being able to use the DP and RS buttons, is:(1) remove the “mini steering wheel”(2) Use your controller to start a race(3) Reinstall the wheel so you can start racing and then…..(4) Lose each and every race because it took you so long to start, and everyone else is miles ahead of you.

The steering thing will clip the stick the moves the controller stick and will make it so you cannot avoid crashing.

He seems to like it with no complaints.

I was not expecting much for an item this inexpensive, but it did improve my experience with Horizon 4. It allowed for more precise steering than manipulating the joystick with your thumb. It surprisingly did not help with Burnout Paradise. With Burnout Paradise I found it made no real difference, and during stoplight events the unit actually came off the controller, probably because of the aggressiveness required.So when things are laid back it is fine, for aggressive situations it just did not work for me. The biggest draw back is attaching it to the controller. You almost want to have a controller specifically for this. But if you are going to do that you might as well just get an inexpensive steering wheel instead.

This mini racing wheel is pretty cool. I probably won't use it all of the time, but it definitely does what it's supposed to do and gives the feel of a racing wheel. It's not perfect, but I definitely recommend picking it up if you're tired of using your analog stick to race.Only issue I've had is every one in a while the turning wheel part will shift ridges. It doesn't happen though if you aren't rough with the controller.

Great idea but failed result. Although game setting were adjusted the make shift wheel has to be turned all the way in order to get steering. I'm not an engineer but I think the gearing is wrong on this device. I thing gear has to be bigger to result more steering with less turning of the steering. Also the middle gear teeth need to be slightly thicker on the part that attaches to the stick so the item does not fall apart so easily.
