When Lightning Strikes (W.I.T.C.H. Adventures)

I’ve loved this book ever since I was a little kid and I’m so happy I found it here. I used to rent it over and over again in the library until someone lost it. I got it pretty quickly and the pages/cover are crisp and clean. I honestly couldn’t be happier!

I've read Lene Kaaberbol's novels (The Shamer series) and I really liked them, which is why I ordered just one of the W.I.T.C.H. books to try it out. I will concede that they are probably much enjoyed by a certain age group, but they do not have anywhere near the sophistication of her novels. In all fairness, I'm an "older" person and I think these are geared toward a much younger group than her "novels".

If you are a W.I.T.C.H. fan, you would definitely like this.Summary: Will has a crush on Danny Nova, a new boy in school. He's cute, nice, and the best dancer! But there is something strange about Danny.... Soon after he comes to town, mysterious power outages start happening. Will isn't in the dark for long, and she and her four friends set off on a dangerous journey to solve the mystery. Will needs to use her special powers over energy to prove just how strong her Heart truly is.Overall, it is a truly exciting, fun and adventurous book! It has a meaningful lesson in the end; not to trust someone so easily.

Love reading the series

The condition of this book was just like new and it came in great time! It wasn't my favorite of the w.i.t.c.h. adventures but it was definitely worth it.

In When Lightning Strikes, WILL is telling the story. She is telling the story when she first meets Danny Nova, a shape shifting Salamander from the world of Nimbus. But he doesn't tell Will that. Instead, on a so-called "date", Danny steals the Heart, and Will wakes up to see the carnival manager. WILL tells the other Guardians, and the plead to Candracar to take them to Nimbus. The Oracle of Candracar sends them to Nimbus, where they meet a couple of locals. One of the locals takes them to where another Nova salamander lives. The salamander says she does not know a Danny Nova, but takes off after one the girls and the local leaves to find Danny. The local & girls follow her, but The Salamander is battling Danny for the Heart. he salamander looses, and WILL confronts Danny. After exchanging words, WILL decides to leave, Danny still owning the Heart. As they are leaving, Danny gives the Heart back to her, and WIll is happy, after all.

If you have ever read ANY of the W.I.T.C.H. books, you have got to read this one! It has many new twists and turns, and it really helps the girls learn more about the mysterious world of Candracar.
