Ideal for small spaces look at ...
I am electronic engineer and I work in the repair of equipment. This a great tool, it is very versatile because of its small size. I recommend it for the workshop and tool wear in briefcase.

Defective!
There was a bit of ink or fuzz on one of the lenses & was internal so I couldn't see what I wanted to see. It zoomed & focused pretty well, except for the flaw in that lens. The body of the pen looked to be cheaply made. There were gaps in the seams of the body & it looked like it'd fall apart if happened to fall on a hard floor. It should've been really cool, but it wasn't. (sad face here)

Works very well, small
It’s the size of a ball point pen. Probably says that in the description and I blew past that. Functionally it’s awesome! Extremely sharp magnification

Very easy to use microscope
It's not very powerful, but extremely easy to use microscope. I had a lot of fun with my kids using this thing - checking pixel structure of cell phone screen, etc.

Just ok.
I have several Carson products and this is my least favorite. Somehow it's just awkward to focus and use. I don't seem to ever grab for it. It's handy to carry in a pocket but that's about it. I'm not keen on the way it lights the subject. The Carson MicroBrite is killer; a must have. Their MicroMini is wonderful as well. With either of those, the light comes more at an angle which is a great advantage.

The Most Amazing Microscope!
This is just so amazing! We got it for our 11 yr. old son for Christmas. You can see every part of a hair shaft, take it anywhere and view everything that normally wouldn't fit under a traditional microscope. However, it IS the size of a regular pen, and he lost it within a few weeks. So be very careful and keep it in a safe spot!

DON’T BUY THIS - read please!!
The media could not be loaded. Not worth it! Not very bright, can’t see much, awkward to use, difficult to twist the focus, light won’t turn off after one day...BUT for just a couple dollars more you can get the Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120xI left that one FIVE STARS!!! I usually do not write reviews but on these two I feel very passionately! You can see so much more detail with the MicroBrite Plus, and it works SO much better. It also feels really great to hold and it is really easy to use. I got this pen after I got the MicroBrite Plus thinking I could give the pen to my younger son, but he can’t figure it out. I figured it out, but it’s just not worth it when there is a much better option. The only thing this was decent for was looking at coins (which is why I gave it two stars instead of one) but...even then...not that great. Now the light won’t even turn off on the pen after just getting it yesterday. It’s honestly crap! Read my review on the MicroBrite Plus, I added a lot of pictures and videos! And you should definitely buy that one!!! My kids won’t put it down which makes me sad because I don’t want to put it down either!
