Review: More than just pretty pictures - Really enjoyed this book after reading it all the way through. I follow them on Instagram, so I’ve picked up tips over the years, but what I liked about the book was that it really brought together their vision of organization as decor. I knew what they did was pleasing to the eye, but to me, this was a written version of their entire philosophy on organizing that you don’t get in one place on Instagram. I’m a reformed clutter bug and this book spoke to me more than others I have recently read that advised removing all your furniture from a room and putting back only what you love. Yeah, not going to happen. However, their philosophy (stuff vs. space) has changed the way I shop, which I now believe is the heart of organization. The tips are practical and they acknowledge different types of rooms. Not everyone has a giant walk in pantry, but you can take bits and pieces from each of their jobs and apply them to your project. Like any book, you have to take what applies to you and remember that everyone is different. We have different budgets and different amounts of time to devote to organization upkeep, but the inspiration is applicable to everyone. Definitely glad I own this book so I can refer back to it if I ever move as well. Also, the humor is top notch. Dry self-deprecation, yes please.

Lovely; with tips for every space in the home!
A book fit to be in the rainbow’s true pot of gold. The Home Edit guide is gorgeous, bright, and approachable, easing the reader into tackling messes through the home. As a long-time follower of The Home Edit, I’ve been trying to infuse their tips and practices into parts of my home, like my pantry and bathroom drawers, however, this book makes me feel like I have a partner in going room by room to categorize, arrange, and spruce up my whole home. Organizing my pantry and bathroom drawers with Clea and Joanna’s tips for using bins (with museum gel in drawers!) and labels has made a major difference in keeping our home neat even with two little kids. Also, they even organize breast pump supplies! This is unheard of and INCREDIBLY helpful. I’m so thrilled to use this guide for the rest of my home. And it’s absolutely beautiful! These ladies are such an inspiration and super funny. Their voices come through in the book so it feels like you’re hearing them y’all as you read (I’m also excited to listen to the audio book!). Review written by Jeffrey’s wife, Kristen F.
