Paph and Phrag Imperial Orchid Mix (Junior Bag)

These mixes are sooo convenient! I love being able to just pick which one I need for which plants. I used this mix to repot a bunch of paphs and a phrag. They seem quite happy with the change and it does a good job keeping them damp but not wet, and it has good drainage.

I had to repot my Lady Slipper - it was outgrowing it's old starter pot - and has moved into this soil with no transplant shock. It's sending it's roots (I have a clear pot) throughout this soil and growing on. Glad I found it and can recommend it.

I had been using a mix I got at an orchid show and my plants where suffering. This is noticeably better. The mix is smaller bits able to drain really well but stay moist enough for Pahp. Orchids. This smells better, looks better and just feels right. I am hoping this helps revive my dehydrated plants that other mixes would not keep moist.

I bought this after buying some bare root orchids. The mix is fine. Small pieces as compared with the oversized chunks you find in the home supply stores. I’d change the ratio and increase the perlite and some charcoal but as you can see the new growth in the pics, the plants adjusted very quickly. My only complaint is the high price. Other than that, it’s perfect.

The product is excellent BUT....... USPS leaving the package out in the rain when a covered area was 2 feet away was good and the bad far from satisfactory.

Great mix, my orchid seedlings love it as well as my Sarcochilus, Paphiopedulum and Phragmipedulum orchids!

...to use when repotting orchids. Use layers of orchid moss with this mix when repotting. Moss will help retain moisture for a longer period of time. Be sure to use a pot designed for orchids which allows the mix to thoroughly drain and the roots to breath.
