For a zesty punch that goes beyond a pizza topping, try Applegate Natural Uncured Pork & Beef Pepperoni. It's ready to eat pepperoni that's ready for you. Review: Tastes Delicious - Great for Keto - Looks good and tastes delicious. It is lean meat/not very greasy and has a little kick but not terribly spicy, so this will work for most folks. The spice selection is awesome and gives the meat a lovely rich flavor profile. This is a much healthier pepperoni option than most others out there. The slices are perfect -not thin but not thick... perfect to toss some rough chopped slices in a salad, eat whole with cheese on a cracker or on a sandwich, or use as a topping for pizza (if that is your intent). I would even rough chop this and add to soup or omelettes -I will try that next. I also like to eat it all on it's own... yummmmmm!!!! I think this might only be the second or third time in my life I bought pepperoni but may make this a regular staple. I have been doing healthy, clean keto for months and finally decided to add another protein besides eggs, cheese, and ground turkey (was doing pasture-raised ground beef but it's expensive and not always in stock and had to give up tofu as a main source of protein since it was messing up my thyroid). I like that these are small slices -that works very well for me on keto, because I can throw a half serving into a salad or or a wasa cracker with cheese and feel very happy/satisfied... or even eat all on its own. I mean, imagine trying to eat a half ounce of cheese, turkey, or beef? It ain't happening. Still, you can eat a half ounce of this (7 or 8 slices) and feel like it's enough if eaten with another main protein or as a snack on its own. I'm also trying super hard to stick with 2-3 meals per day and was successfully doing just two for quite a while but then fell out of ketosis and started snacking/grazing (super unhelpful when you want to get into and stay in ketosis). These small slices are perfect if I just want to have a snack and are a much better option than seeking out a wasa cracker, because these are almost carb-free. That matters not only to those who are doing keto and want to stay in ketosis (which for most folks means eating less than 20g net carbs/day), but it is also very important for those who don't want to raise their blood sugar and insulin level too much. So, this is a diabetic friendly snack as well. Since it is a leaner cut, it will also work for those who want to eat pepperoni without an abundance of saturated fat and cholesterol. The sodium content is high but not bad for pepperoni (570 mg, which is 25% DV per ounce serving). It doesn't taste overly salted either. The reason I shy away from buying bacon, pork, and most beef is because it's not easy to find affordable humanely raised, non-GMO, organic, pasture-raised products that are also free of nitrites/nitrates (in the case of cured meat such as pepperoni) or added sugars and preservatives. I know a lot of people on keto eat tons of bacon and beef, but I think this is an absurdly unhealthy thing to do. I like that these check nearly all the boxes as far as animal welfare (well, OK, we are eating them but I mean from birth to death they deserve to have as good a life as possible without any suffering... and we can never know how animals we eat were treated but can consciously choose human products in the hopes they were treated well). I like that these animals were not given antibiotics and that the meat is dry cured without nitrites/nitrates. This is also a good option for people who are gluten-free and those wishing to avoid casein or dairy. Bottom line... It tastes great and is filling, allowing you to eat so very little compared to eating cheese or other proteins as a snack. Try it, you will probably like this. It's a much healthier option for you and your loved ones. Review: Great taste! Best pepperoni Ive ever eaten - I love this pepperoni! Great taste and nitrate free! I love to eat with a slice of Swiss cheese a very healthy lunch.

Little SLICES of HEAVEN!
I loved these mini slices of pepperoni right out of the bag, or on crackers with a swipe of Dijon mustard! Also use them on homemade mini pizzas, they crisp up nicely. Slices are thick and chewy and would make nice snacks for your lunch bag to take to work or to put in kids' lunches or take along in the car for a protein picker upper on a long and annoying drive. Sometimes, to be honest, if I don't have dough or I'm feeling lazy (Covid lockdown hangover here :-O ) I just spread some tomato sauce on a piece of bread, hit it with some oregano, garlic salt, a handful of mozzarella (or whatever cheese I have) top it with 6 or 7 mini pepperoni slices, pop that in my toaster oven and in 7 minutes I am in mini-pizza bread heaven! I've even kept these minis in the freezer for just when I need a quick handful to snack on or make a quick pizza bread slice. Good value.
