Wow This is Easy!
This was surprisingly easy to use to remove metal band watch links on a new watch. I just followed simple YouTube videos on how to size how many links to remove, and then how to remove them. You just need the right tool for the job, and guided instruction (YouTube). I am an avid do-it-yourself-er and handyman in my own home, but I still think this doesn't require much other than reasonably OK hand control to line up pins and pop them out or knock them in. If you can replace a light-bulb, you can probably do this. I had always relied on professional watch repair shops, but they are now much harder to come by (usually was a shop in a Sears or in the mall), require a special trip to drop off, wait, pick up. Now just a prime order, and did it myself in 20-30 minutes. This set offers a variety of tools, rather than buying a small subset for just what you think you need, and having to buy more and pay more later. For link removal, it comes with both ways you would usually remove, a little tap tool and hammer, or a screw-driven vice that pushes it out. I actually found the screw tool easiest for my stubborn pins. To put back in you use the hammer and little tap tool to recess the pin like normal. Plus it comes with a variety of replacement pins if you were to bend one on accident, or lose one. And it has the right tool for removing the watch band. Quality-wise, it seemed rock solid and as good as I could have expected. I figure with this one set, I'm set for watch band replacements & resizing for life :) .The only thing I had to add myself was a set of pliers and soft grip drawer liner to pull on some of my pins to get them all the way out. I think the arrows for direction on the back of my watch had the pins inserted the opposite way on one side, so they caught on the way out too. The other half was much easier. I just used a set of pliers and drawer liner to not gouge the pins. I had to either pull or hammer all the way back in at that point. I ended up using the little cloth as a work space, the screw-like tool to punch the pin loose, the band holder for tapping, the hammer, and the little tap tool for hitting the recessed head.

Get the version without the clamp type tool
It’s hard to get too critical on this item given the cheap price. I bought this to remove links from a bulova men’s watch. My usual method of pushing the link pin out with a metal pick wouldn’t work - couldn’t budge them. And it is a gold tone watch so I didn’t want to beat it up.This item come with 2 ways to remove a link pin.1. The clamp type link removal tool is cheesy. When you raise the platform to get the watch band even with the pin, the sloppy threads make the tool wobbly. Instead, after lining the tops with masking tape to protect the watch, I taped 3 squares of credit card plastic together to get everything to align. I put the band in, screwed the extraction pin until it was snug, checked the alignment, and started putting the Pressure on .... and immediately bent the extractor pin. This tool is junk. If it was the only tool in this kit to remove watch links, I would have given this a 1 star rating.2. I was about to punt this to a jeweler, then I saw the block, pins and a cheesy hammer. What did I have to lose? So there I was on my belly on the tile floor with a tiny hammer beating a tiny pin, thinking I need to get the framing hammer, and out pops the band pin. Comical as it sounds, the tile floor provides a surface that is solid (no give). The tiny hammer dents the tiny driver tool, but IT WORKS. You won’t be starting a watch repair business with this kit, but for most of us it is adequate. The tiny hammer has 1 metal face for driving pins out and 1 plastic face for putting the pin back in.Since the watch band I bought this for was not an easy one, this tool did well in getting the job done. The other tools are just a bonus.

Impressed
So really, I just needed a spring bar tool to change out straps and whatnot. I've been using a tiny screwdriver but wanted something better. Well, just that tool on here was almost 10 bucks shipped so I figured I'd might as well grab a whole tool set for a few bucks more. There are so many sets that look identical, right down to the colors, so I can't speak on if they are the same or not. I think they are.So I came across this set on Prime day for under 10 bucks, with everything I needed and a whole lot of other stuff I probably will never touch.I wanted a metal link pin removal tool as opposed to some that appear to be plastic, that much I knew. All in all though, the tools feel pretty quality. I was pleasantly surprised at the heft/weight of a couple of the tools...I was honestly expecting like chinsy dollar store crap, but that wasn't the case. Plus, you get extra spring bars of various sizes, as well as extra link pins for bracelets. On top of that, a nice case to keep it all together and tidy. The case in itself was way bigger than what I was expecting as well!Completely recommend this product. Arrived from 3rd party and 4 days sooner than expected. Will report back if anything should fail.

The product works well, but you should have enough professional knowledge to do it by yourself.
