High quality durable costume sword
High quality product, as described. Happy with the purchase, price, and speed of delivery. It has a solid heft and is appropriate for play fighting. Hard enough to whack your friends but not so hard you’ll injure them.

Good play sword!
My 8 year old son loves this sword. It has a good balance of strength and softness. Some foam swords are so stiff that the kids hurt each other, but this one is one of the better ones we've had. The tip is flexible, so that makes it safer when "stabbing", but it might be prone to breakage. It's heavy enough for a good sword fight. After 6 weeks it does show a little wear, but I think that's mostly paint from other swords it's clashed with. It seem like it will last for quite some time.

Weapon is 40" NOT 32".
First of all, the description is wrong, this sword is 40" not 32 or 36 as described. The blade is very heavy and the core very thin. The weapon is not latex, but an injected foam similar to epics stronghold line. The handle is very soft and squishy, this combined with the heavy blade and thin core make for a very whippy weapon. I partially solved this by cutting away the soft rubber of the handle and wrapping with duct tape and leather to make it a bit less whippy. This weapon "might" be ok for larping if you dont hit too hard. The injected foam weapons in general are not quite as soft as latex, and with the very thin blade this weapon hits pretty hard. The blade itself is really nice looking, solid black with no shading. Drybrushing some silver over it would really make it look outstanding. Overall it's not bad for the price, but if you're going to actually fight with it you are going to really need to control your swings.
