Inexpensive, bright, easy to install light that with LED bulbs should last a lifetime.

Extremely easy to install, any amateur can do it. Just unplug 2 wires from the old lamp and insert them into the tab locking wire case provided with the unit and its done! I had a short at the case of the physical switch on the wall, so after i fixed that this light is a very nice upgrade. Much brighter than expected. Cant go wrong

The ceiling brackets to hold these lights are not compatible with the spacing on standard US ceiling mount boxes. I had to drill it out to make the spacing work. Then, the wire connector has no way to accept dual wires. My light happened to serve as a junction box for the switch and power supply wires, so I needed to jam two black wires and two white wires into the connector which came with this light which was absolutely positively impossible. The wires that come with this light are about 2" long plus their connector (which totally sucks as I already described) so you cannot jam all the wires into the junction box even if you have only a single pair to have to work with. The way the light fits almost flush against the ceiling makes this impossible. So, I had to remove their connector, splice on about 6" of a lighter wire (which is ok because this light runs at about 1/10 the current of a normal incandescent light), and wire-nut the lighter wire to the standard wiring in my junction box. I then had enough lighter wire left over to jam the wire nuts and heavy wiring into the junction box then I could push the device flush with the ceiling without having heavy wires in the way. Problem solved? Nope! The mounting bracket does not have flexibility to allow for a little extra spacing for ceiling texture, so the bracket wouldn't snap closed to hold the light on the mount because it was about 1 mm from being flush to the ceiling with the texturing in the way. I had to scrape off ceiling texturing to make this work. It's a good thing I'm a professional engineer + very handy at home or this would have NEVER been installed at all. I would NEVER buy another.

I used this fixture to replace an existing bare 150 watt equivalent LED light bulb at the bottom of my basement steps to reduce the "glare." The opaque lens covering and low silhouette did exactly that, very bright light, but not in your face. In addition, this flush mount ceiling light was very easy to install and connect to the existing electrical box. The connecting wires are only 18 gauge, but that is not a problem since the current needed to power the LEDs is so low (~0.15 amps). Best of all, the price is very reasonable for such an efficient and bright light compared to similar light fixtures at the big box stores.
