I have 4 Echo dots, 3rd generation. I just got my first 2 pack order of these mounts to make sure I liked them and I already ordered a second set. I even ordered the equivalent Genie Mount for my Google Mini Homes! Why I bought these mounts: I have 2 Echo dots in bedrooms on night stands, 1 sitting on a window sill in my dining room and 1 on a shelf in my entry way. I bought these mounts for 3 reasons. 1) The only Echo dot that seems to hear me on the first try is the one on the entry way shelf. I was hoping these mounts would improve how well Echo hears me for the other 3 (especially the one in the dining room). 2) I hate cord clutter! 3) I hate space clutter. I was hoping that I can get space back on the nights stands and not have to have anything on my window sill. Verdit: Mission accomplished! I mounted the Echo's in my dining room and entry way. I chose the entry way because it was on a small shelf that it couldn't sit on fully so I was concerned about it falling. The Echo that responds to me on first try is now 50/50 between these two. No more cords are visible! My inner neat freak is so stinking happy! And, I got my window sill back as well as piece of mind that my entry way Echo will not fall. I was so ecstatic that I ordered second set pronto! I cant wait to have better responses in the bedrooms as well as be cord/night stand clutter free!

Simple product, but it works. It may feel cheap and flimsy, because of the plastic, but that’s because the ease of snapping in the Echo Dot, and just like in the description it’s made not to cover up any of the speakers . I got this one for the bedroom, and it was all right on the nightstand, but you still have the cord in the space it takes up. So. As you can see were my eyes matted, it worked perfect, because it’s up high and I can still use it as an alarm clock . It was an outlet I put in when I had my little TV . But wherever you decide, with the cord wrap behind it, I keep it neat and clean and plus I have it synced with my Amazon echo , and my second generation Amazon dot , that sits in the portable speaker dock from i-box.. someone I want to listen to a little music it’s perfect because the sound on the dot three it is way better than the first or second generation . So getting up for work within a few seconds he can play a little music, and it’s just like heaven in a household stereo system, and then at night I just have the dog at three come on and I’ll do the ocean sounds or rain and thunder . I know my review talks more about the Amazon products, but the “MOUNT genie”, was a quick review because it’s a no brainer item that works fine ,And it’s not going to fall out from wherever you mount it.

I will give these wall mounts 4 stars as they are really not the quality I expected for the money. However, they are easy to set up and use and I do like the neatness of the system compared to just having it on a table or something with the cord showing. The sound seem to be ok and as of yet I don't notice any muffling like I see in some other reviews. I have a friend that purchased a different brand and they are much better quality and even less pricey. Because of the ease of setting them up and the compactness of the mounts and to be fairI will give them 4 stars.

I find these Echo Dot 3rd gen (i.e., hockey Puck style) "Dot Genies" to be so convenient that I prefer the 3rd gen over the 4th gen Echo Dots in several applications. We have these installed in our upstairs common hallway (great for announcements for those in their bedrooms), our master bedroom (command central), and now our master bathroom (I know, seems unnecessary...). Given we own three, a review is in order. Simply put, these Dot Genies work very well. Suspending the gen 3 Echo Dots from an outlet with this product seems to actually improve their audio performance. Of course, it primarily provides a neat, tidy and compact form factor. It also makes it easy to move an Echo Dot around the house (assuming one doesn't have an Echo device in every room); literally just unplug, plug & play. The only knock on this product (and presumably every similar product available) is that the offset isn't large enough to account for the difference between the surface of the electrical outlet plate and the wall. Thus, the Echo Dot won't sit flush on the wall. Happily, I found an easy solution that works perfectly! Just install some self-adhesive rubber bumpers (the type used for kitchen cabinets & drawers) on the underside of the Dot Genie. Once applied, the Echo Dot will be squarely aligned to the outlet and sit flush on the wall with its rubber feet (bumpers)! There are many similar looking products on the market; some are cheaper. However, I settled on this one because the speaker is not obstructed by the clasping mechanism. The speaker is also very securely attached, but can be removed from the Dot Genie without damage if desired. So, a solid 5 out of 5 starts (provided rubber bumpers are used).

This is exactly what I was looking for. I’m able to utilize the plug I wanted even though I have no shelf nearby. Easy to install, looks neat and tidy, no cord showing. Would recommend and would buy again!

This was just what I wanted to mount my echo dot to a wall outlet in my hall. It is easy to assemble with my dot and keeps the cable and power cube out of the way, and does not block the other outlet. Works great and as advertised does not impeded the sound from the speaker.
