Legendary Fishing (Nintendo Switch)

My 7 year old son loves this game! Easy to play

Very fun game. We bought it for dad thinking he would enjoy - but we ended up stealing it to play! It is suited for 'novice' fisherman in that you really don't do much specific 'fishing' movement to play. You select your location to fish, it takes you there (you do not control a boat or anything). As you progress, you get more locations and challenges - you even get to unlock fly-fishing! Fun game for younger or older switch players.

They are broke. It won't cast or reel. The rod won't move no matter which direction you move it in. It doesn't work to hook the fish. Now, the mechanics are there. You can play this just fine with a regular controller, if you want, but I didn't buy it for that. Even bought myself a fishing rod accessory. Definitely getting ahold of Ubisoft for this. Update: I filed the ticket July 15th. Today, July 24th, I finally get a message back. It's an automated message saying if I'm still experiencing the problems get a hold of us and we'll put you in contact with a customer service agent. Really looking like I'm going to have to return this game. Edit: I've upgraded this game from two stars to three. After talking to Ubisoft I finally got motion controls to work. They're responsive, not as responsive as you want, but they work. Like I had to turn the whole joycon completely horizontal just to get the rod to move with the fish so it would ease tension on the line. getting them to work was a bit of a pain too. If you have both joy-con controllers activated As one controller you might as well close the game down. Only one Joy con can be used for motion ontrols as you do not reel with the other Joycon. Reeling is done with the joystick on your activated joy-con. you have to make sure you activate only one joy-con when they ask you to in the game. There is not a way in the game to change up your controller type so if you just want to switch to regular controls from the motion controls you have to close the game and restart it to be able to activate a single controller. You can't use the Pro Controller either. Any fishing attachment will probably be useless for motion controls on this game unless they change it. It's been out since 2018 so I highly doubt Ubisoft is going to. Overall, it would be worth it if I was into fishing games like that but I just got this for a specific use and with that use not being there this game is getting returned unfortunately.

Bought this for my wife who used to enjoy fishing when she was more mobile. Not quite the same as sitting outdoors on the bank as it's fast a furious when you get a bite. Good fun though.
