How did I ever live without this? JosephJoseph does it again. A great, useful product, well made and at a good price. Perfect for scooping pasta or veg from a large pot so you don't have to carry a hot, heavy pot to the sink. Also use it to remove bones, veg, etc. from stock pot.

This is much larger than I expected it to be and it works so well. Depending on what size pan you're using, 2 or 4 scoops will usually get everything. I've even used it in reverse as a colander a couple of times when I had only made a single serving of pasta. Instead of scooping the pasta from the pan, I just held the scoop in one hand and poured the pasta into it over the sink, then from there to a plate or bowl. It's very sturdy and beats always having to pull out a colander and then wash it.

Where has this Scoop/Colander/Strainer/Slotted-Spoon been all my life? I'm a klutz, and straining liquids out of a pot or pan without spilling anything is a real challenge. I'm also rather good at spilling when pouring pasta into a colander to strain and rinse it. This Scoop/Colander/Strainer/Slotted-Spoon is quite rigid, easy to hold in a stable grip, and very easy to drain into or strain with. It's also the perfect size to hold the contents of a No.2 can you want to drain and rinse. Having this means I dirty fewer kitchen objects in order to get the job done, which is also a big plus. So far, the only down side is storage, but we have found that if the open side of the scoop faces the interior of a kitchen utensil holder, it's not a problem. Thank you for reading my review. This is NOT some cheap-o plastic-y gadget. It is a very high quality kitchen tool that I'm finding to be super handy. Saves me time and effort from digging out the big strainers and then having to clean them. This thing is well-engineered and made of some kind of lightweight super strong, boiling water proof stuff. Wife saw me with it and now it's one of her favorite things to grab in the kitchen -- washing mushrooms & small servings of veggies, straining pasta, scooping up poached eggs.... super handy thing to have around and built to last for years.

This Scoop Plus is the best idea. I looked at it and thought that might make things easier sometimes. Wasn't totally convinced it would be used a lot, until it arrived. I use this all the time. I have not even pulled my colander out since this scoop arrived. I struggle with my hands and often can't lift a pot to drain it. This scoop has made my life easier. I can scoop out the pasta, vegetables, etc. without asking for assistance. I love this and would definitely recommend this scoop/colander/strainer. And I would also like to add that I have several Joseph Joseph products and that was part of the reason for my purchase.

You know you're getting old when you have a favorite scoop. This is mine. Not that I have all that many to start with. I bought this scoop to get all the vegetables out of the pot when I cook a pot roast. Things can get kind of soupy at times, so I needed a scoop that drained as it scooped. And those limp cooked onion pieces can clog an ordinary scoop with minimal holes - but this scoop has a lot of holes, up the sides and everything. This one handles the draining task admirably. And it doesn't feel like a cheap flimsy thing. It will probably outlast me. It seems to have all the necessary qualities to become the family heirloom favorite scoop.

This scoop is just awesome! I've been longing for something to take the place of traditional draining implements. Colanders have holes too big for rice and strainers either rust if they're metal or the mesh tears if plastic. Then I came across this. It is the perfect size that it will easily scoop a large portion of veg at a time but small enough that it fits virtually any pan. Perfect for serving out pasta or rice, especially if you're like me and put all the prep stuff in the sink to soak and then realise you have nowhere to strain a colander-full! Every kitchen needs one of these. The simplicity of it is just genius.

Tenho alguns produtos da Joseph Joseph e sou muito fã, e essa escumadeira não foi diferente. A qualidade do material segura muito bem frituras em óleo e pega macarrão com muita facilidade. Se lavar bem logo depois de usar em frituras, ele não fica nojento e mantém o aspecto de novo dele. O único ponto negativo é que para a maioria das panelas, a escumadeira é muito grande! Em frituras eu faço em um wok de 32cm, então não tenho problemas, mas em qualquer panela menor de 28cm já começa a ficar apertado. Queria muito uma versão mais compacta, com a metade do tamanho.

Great tool. Being silicone it can be used for anything hot. However I bought this as a scoop for my kitty litter tray and love it. Made that job so much easier.
