Joseph Christiano's Bloodtype Diet O: A Custom Eating Plan for Losing Weight, Fighting Disease & Staying Healthy for People with Type O Blood Review: For me Essential - I had looked at this Material many times over and wish now I had made the purchase long ago. There is so much information regarding Blood Type, how it works, how our food in-take affects it and so on. Don't hesitate, if you're looking at this Material, make the purchase. Its an easy read, not over-your-head Medical Jargon. A complete list of Beneficial, Neutral, and Avoid Foods. All of which can be purchased at most Grocers. What I mean is its everyday Foods, however Aldi doesn't carry Greens in their Vegetable Bins, but Schnucks does. So the bigger Grocer or maybe even Farmers Market will have an Adzuki Bean where others will not. There are also Recipes, as well as Meal Ideas (suggestions). I feel like nothing has been left out and after just beginning I can tell you that I not only feel great but recently had my BP checked and it is normal where it had run high. This isn't a Diet Plan, but rather what you do already-eat. This Material points out which Foods are beneficial for Type A's and that's what we should be ingesting. It also lists the Avoid Foods to help Type A's eliminate them from our Diet-our everyday Routine. Review: Great read - Very enlightening. As an O Negative individual I was curious as to what I was doing Right and or Wrong. I came in on both sides with good and then some bad. I do however definitely plan to make some serious life changes. Thankfully I'm a very positive individual. After retiring g last year I relocated back to the Midwest from Houston. My first investment was the purchase of a beautifully raised beef with no injections or hormones just standard immunizations. Raising a garden of fresh veggies. And a pond full of pristine fish. Some on my list and few not. I have however gleaned those things I need to change. AND WILL!! Thank You for having the foresight to discuss this on TCT ( how I first learned of the book) Have started my list of list of items I need to add into my kitchen pantries and another list of items to remove. Looking forward to my life changing.

Good info but lots of religious views
This was a good, informative book for Type Os, but all the religious views and references made it seem like he was trying to convert readers to his religion. I'm not against religion, and I am spiritual and somewhat religious, but it was weird having to read about his beliefs in a health book, which to me should mostly be scientific and educational. But other than that it was a good book and did give good tips for Type O people.

Amazing!
It amazed me that when I looked at the avoid list for Type A blood, there were many of the foods that I was eating which usually caused me digestive distress. I have been researching the idea behind the blood type way of eating and it makes a lot of sense. I have already started incorporating the eating plan for Type A by eliminating dairy foods. I have found switching to Soy or Almond milks with vanilla flavoring has been a good choice. I have suffered with constipation problems all my life and I am not sure if the changes I have made caused the change, but since I am eating differently, my whole system has been functioning better. I have also incorporated tofu into my diet. I made tofu burgers and my husband actually liked them. This book is a great read and the eating plan worth trying. We only have one body, so taking care of it gives you both quality and possibly quanity of life.

not convinced
The book is interesting and some of it can makes sense but I am not convinced you should eat according to your blood type. The author should go on Dr. Oz , the Doctors and other shows and have a debate about it. I would love to find out if there is merit to the idea. I have found that an holistic doctor and a primary care practitioner do not share the same views at all so I could be very wrong in my theory. I did try the book perhaps not long enough but I did not see anything different. I am not allergic to any foods that I know of. I don't have issues with foods or dietary problems. I just wanted to have more energy and I wanted to eat the right foods for me that's why I purchased the book. I guess for me I am just not sure.

Very Helpful for Staying Healthy
I have a lot of digestive problems and I'm also Hypoglacemic so I need to watch what I eat to feel good and be healthy. I am following the diet in this book for type As and have had good results. I love his Pick-A-Meal options, I can plan my meals and snacks around the menu ideas. I have recently added alkaline water to my diet and I feel so much better. If you are a Type A this book is a must for good health.

Easy Read and Strong Advice
At the request of my wellness doctor, she said I should buy this book. After reading, I realized what had plagued me with my digestive system for years. I followed the eating by blood type recommendations in the book and within 48 hours of eating the right foods, I was amazed. Why did I wait for years of misery and never in my life would have understood that my body was reacting to foods that did not match my blood type. I feel great!

Great book about understanding your blood type and eating
This book was very good in explaining the whole reason behind eating for your blood type. Why it works and the mechanics or biology behind it. Also, I really appreciated the Christian perspective. Great receipes and easy to follow guidelines. I realized why I didn't like a lot of foods that are so called "good for you" or why certain foods would make me feel bad. I feel better eating for my blood type.
