What I didn't like or at least didn't feel necessary was study tips, everyone using this is a college grad or soon to be surely you know how to study. The actual content of the book is awesome. After retirement I decided to go back & teach history like I originally intended 35 years ago. The way information was presented made recalling information easy. I highly recommend if you plan to test for 7-12.

If you do not possess good study skills, don't buy

I thought it was a lot of content to cover, however it’s making my test studies so much easier. It’s clear and explains in detail!

When I first saw all of the standards that had to be known to pass my test, I was overwhelmed. That’s when I turned to google to try to find study guides & materials. I then came across the Mometrix test preparation books. When I opened the book and saw that a lot of the things were covered in the book that i needed to know for my test, I was relieved. So far this book is really helping me out with all my studying and I am really satisfied. I’ll definitely be sure to recommend y’all to my other friends and colleagues.

I am using this book to study for a Texas Teacher's Certification exam. I have dived into this book and found it very easy to read. They group subjects together very well. This is done by creating space between the subjects and have the headline in bold. I found this easy to realize when moving to a new topic. I also like how none of these are to long, each time I get to a new subject it pulls me back to refocusing on the task at hand. I feel it helps me from getting bored. I would recommend this.

I am very impressed that it covers 8 topics (World History, US History, Texas History, Geography, Culture and the Behavioral and Social Sciences, Government and Citizenship, and Social Studies Foundations, Skills, Research and Instruction. The 132 practice test with answers will help one prepare for the test. Mometrix included reference to over 60 videos to help study each topic. Great Study Guide, best for studying for the exam.

The terminology is there. It is all the concepts that are on the test. The practice test is like the computer test that you take.

I love the Mometrix products and have used them for many years to study for many subject areas of teaching. These have proven to be great preparation guides for me. They are excellent and have truly helped relieve the test anxiety. I would highly recommend the Mometrix products.
