Amazon Basics Extra Large Cat Tree Tower with Condo - 24 x 56 x 19 Inches, Beige

So happy I chose this tree, and not the handmade one for 10 times the price! It is very nicely designed, and easy to put together even if you're not especially handy. And my cat has taken quite a shine to it, a couple of months after we bought it.My cat is a 4-1/2 year old male with plenty of pep, and about 11 pounds. He has taken to climbing the tree to sleep on the top level, which he fits into curled up into the meatloaf position. The manufacturer suggests you attach the tree to a wall, to keep it stable. Well I have not attached this one, but it is standing in a corner formed by a wall and a bookcase. It shakes a little when my cat leaps on it, but it doesn't sway and seems plenty sturdy for him to lie down on it, which is all he is doing at the moment. When he wants to scratch, he jumps down to use his corrugated cardboard scratcher. I have hopes, though, that he will grow to use the sisal posts on the tree eventually. He also seems uninterested in using the tree's carpet for scratching, but I consider that a plus, because he doesn't scratch any carpeting or upholstery anywhere else, and I hope he doesn't pick up the habit. I should just mention that although the tree seems sizable enough for our purposes, my cat literally takes up the whole top level when he is curled up as tightly as possible. And he is an 11 pound cat with long legs. He doesn't like to go into the house/tunnel, probably because of how we've placed the tree, as he is too big for it, and when he's tried going in there, he doesn't seem to have room so he can turn around and so has to back out of it. I suspect a smaller cat or cats would use the tree's multiple levels more than mine does, and would love the house/tunnel. I would recommend, if you have room to do so, experimenting with placement of the tree before you decide on a permanent location to see how your cat will get the most use out of it.

We have 4 cats (2 are senior cats that are 15 years old and the younger 2 are 2.5 years old) and needed to replace our old cat tree and wanted to find one that had all of the poles as scratching posts. This was not as easy to find as most cat trees have some poles that are carpeted and while that looks and feels nice, I don't find it useful. The only drawback with that is I got a couple of splinters while putting it together but it was worth it. The instructions are pretty clear but we did mess up the direction of one of the boards which lead one of the hanging toy balls to be in a different place than pictured but the cats don't seem to care and we weren't going to take it apart at that point (halfway through) to fix it. The assembly took me and my husband about 30 min or so but if I had to do it alone it would've been more difficult. I will warn you that the box it arrived in was very heavy and hard to manure upstairs alone to assemble it. However, as you can see from the pics, the cats have taken it to it quickly and enjoy it. It does come with a strap and accessories for securing it to a wall but seeing we can't do that next to a sliding glass door (so they can enjoy the sunlight and view) the top level is wobbly and our oldest cat isn't a fan of that and mostly uses the tree solely for scratching. It was well worth the effort and cost on this one though!

This was on sale and I’m so glad I bought it. My cats love it and actively use it to scratch (no more using the furniture). I bought a similar one at a big box store 18 months ago and it barely lasted 7 months. This is much better quality for multiple cats.

I waited for the price to drop and I'm glad I did. If I had paid full price, I would have been disappointed. Things I like: This cat tree is very sturdy and stable. It's well made and easy enough to put together. Things I dislike: It's not durable carpet covered, it has a fuzzy thin covering. The fuzzy covering doesn't completely cover the boards. Because of the cheaper covering, I don't feel this unit will last my two cats very long. The bottom hanging toy connection is installed in a different location than pictured.In conclusion, I am glad I bought it. The cats like it and that's what matters.

Our Girls started playing on it while we were still assembling. It has been a hit from day one. A very sturdy design, with a smaller footprint for the height. Fits nicely into a corner without taking up a huge amount of floor space. I also like that this Tree has multiple Sisal Rope-wrapped scratching posts. Please do NOT NOT NOT use the hanging string ball toys. They are a choking hazard. I never install them, and I always write to the manufacturers to stop including them. Overall one of the nicer Cat Trees I have purchased.

My mom wanted a simple cat tree for her very active, very strong goofy adult cat. We looked at some options at the pet store chains, but small one tier trees started at $80.I took a risk on this model because the reviews were good and the price was in our range. It is exactly what we wanted.The tree was easy to put together. The instructions were simple and all the hardware was included.The cat was all over the tree before it was finished. She loves it! She leaps onto it, scratches the rope wrap, curls up in the box, battles the baubles, and sleeps on the top platform.She's a sturdy cat and throws herself at the tree. It has wobbled, but is stable enough to remain standing.

I love how easy it was to put together and that it's very sturdy for my bigger cats! Fabric does not look cheap like most others. We upgraded from the Amazon basics 44" tower (in picture) which held up for really well for 3 years.

I love this cat tree! The price is great, and my cat seems to enjoy it as well (once the fascination of the box it came in wore off)! I do have to say that this was a replacement for the one I ordered first. Make sure the pieces are all there and that the boards are intact. My first package seemed to be one that had previously been returned by someone else! The bags that held the tools were all opened and there were indentations where you could see it had been assembled before. Also the baseboard was broken in two places! However, within 10 minutes of opening the package and seeing the chaos, I repacked it and ordered a new one. The new one was perfect! And you could definitely see that it was packed in the original packaging from the manufacturer. Everything was intact and pristine. All the pieces were there and the instructions were easy to follow. All the boards are precut and covered. Assembly consists of attaching boards to scratching posts with screws. All the supplies you need to do this are included. I did not find the smell to be obnoxious, but I did notice a difference in quality between the types of particle board used between the two that I ordered. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone, providing that they send you a new one and not a used one. One last caveat after having this a few days: if you have a cat that likes to chew on things, watch their behavior around the included toys. The strings are very tempting to them to chew through and swallow! I will be keeping an eye on my own baby the next couple of days to make sure she doesn't have any problems. After reading the other reviews about other problems with the toys, it might just be wise to throw them away, or simply cut the ball part off for play without the strings.

This tree was really easy to put together and is very sturdy and of nice quality. All the levels are easily accessible for our adult cat and she even fits comfortably in the condo section. For its modest footprint this cat tree packs a lot in and we are sure our cat will enjoy it.

Been using for two month now. This product is sturdy enough for my cat (adult 5kg). Even when he is on the top layer, the product looks robust. Not shaky at all. I’m happy with the quality.I didn’t assemble those little strings that came along with the cat tree as I read some other comments about the safety concern. So I have no comment on those.

I adopted twin kittens, they love this tree and use it daily. They sharpen their little ninja swords on it, not my furniture. Some reviews mentioned kittens getting hung up in the dangle toys; not sure about that, I did remove the toys when I went out when they were really little. At four months the kittens were big enough to rip the toys out (which is fine, you can buy more). Amazing value, looks good, would highly recommend.
