QIACHIP Universal 3 Speed Timing Ceiling Fan and Bulbs Remote Control with Mute

Super easy install on a Allen and Roth 8-10 year old system. No dip switches to set! Only tricky part was getting the unit to fit had to flip upside down and move wires all over the place into the ceiling since this transmitter was probably exactly the same size as the opening for the old one. But it fits, worked right away, have 3 speeds of fan and a light. For the price incredible!

Bought this unit as a test to see if it could be used to control a bathroom vent fan with light that I was installing as a replacement to a 35yr old unit that wasn't equipped and wired for a light. The receiver had to be installed in the attic for this to work and work it does. I was concerned that I might have problems because of where I would have to mount the receiver, but it is working perfectly. I use the light regularly; mainly as a night light in this bathroom and rely on the timer function to shut the lamp off in the morning. It has worked properly every time, just like a clock and w/o any problems. On the occasion that I run the fan, that too has worked exactly as it should. I'm glad I didn't have to spend double the amount or more for success!

We like the way this works, and the beep (some reviewers don't like it) that indicates that the fan has been turned on/off or the speed has been changed does not bother us. It's not a constant beeping and less annoying than our microwave. My husband did have to put extra washers on the screws for the mounting bracket to extend the space between the ceiling and mounting bracket as the transmitter was a little too chunky to fit. The diagram shows that the antenna extends from the bottom of the transmitter. However, it is tucked up inside the housing and still works. We noticed when changing fan speeds, that the motor seems to pause as it changes speeds. It comes right back on and up to the next speed in a matter of seconds. That doesn't bother us either as the fan does not come to a complete stop. We would buy again.

This unit is great and fairly easy to install for novice DIY-ers. Better than the junk I had bought previously, also sold at HD, and smaller to fit in the cramped space at the top of the fan housing. All mfg should go this direction and make them smaller to help with mounting.

Bought this for use with ceiling fan that had no remote capability..works great..i only have one switched hot wire to the ceiling outlet box. (No separate light switch). The device activates the light automatically when the power is turned on to the outlet box. This makes the light turn on and off with the wall switch so you dont have to use the remote at all unless you are using the fan..obviously the remote can turn the light on and off also. This has a wiring diagram with Chinese to English translations that are kind of fun to figure out. (Example: "the main firing line" ) 2 wires into (switched hot from wall and neutral)3 wires out ( fan,light,common) . No ground wire but device is totally plastic and you wire earth ground to fan separately. Works good so far.

Instructions were very easy to follow and the remote works flawlessly. I’ve actually purchased 4 of them for different rooms in our home.

This Item came on time, was just as described, and was simple to install.The remote operates the light and the fan and allows timing set up.

I though I was buying a replacement remote. Instead, it also comes with its own receiving unit that needs to be wired in. Its probably fine, but not what I wanted. The star rating is required, but not applicable.
