Outstanding cooler but the one i received was the original V1 despite the V2 update coming out 4 years ago. Besides that the cooler itself is great, just be cautious when ordering and triple check that they list the compatibility of the extra AMD sockets (am2, etc) to make sure it is the updated V2 with the additional brackets. The v1 had issues with the soldering of the fins to the heatpipes and can have worse performance then the V2

For me it just wasn't good put a noctua a9x14 tightened the screws just fine but it kept making a very annoying whine sound above 40 percent fan speed.was not expecting that from this cooler. I will be moving to my first AIO.Noctua l9a is more quiet on full speed. Temps were better on this cooler compared to the l9a.But noise was not. the case used was a dan a4 h2O so should've really went with an aio from the start.

Arrived already used which has happened several times now across different orders. This claims it’s compatible with lga115x but the brackets included with this leave a gap between the cold plate and ihs so it’s completely useless. Possibly just a one off but not good enough sending out supposedly new items when they’re clearly second hand, I paid for a new one so I expect to actually get a new one.

Chonkiest 47mm height cooler for a lil ripper SFF build that gets the job done. Black beauty. Recommend researching compatibility with ITX motherboard and low profile RAM, every question has been asked on Reddit already. Am using this with an AM4 Aorus B550i and Corsair LPX, fits no wories. Grabbed a NM-AM4-L9aL9i backplate to prevent board bend, standard AM4 backplate won't cut it. She'll probably be right with no backplate though. Can beef it further replacing fan for a NF-A9x14 and thin NF-FD1 foam between to reduce noise, but may want to grab some longer fan mount screws. She's a bit tight when 90mm is on I take so check your blades aren't scraping your fins causing a ruckus. No regrets but if you can cram a taller cooler in your case then maybe just get a bigger fella like the NH-12S and save a buck hey

Used this in SFF builds to great affect. Ended up using this in an air-cooled Meshroom S build. The additional clearance space allowed me to use a Noctua 92mm thin fan underneath and a Noctua 120mm fan on top. This combination improved cooling for my 11700K CPU. My temps never exceeded 68C in full load and the dual fan setup dropped it below 70C when I thought the two fans would cause turbulence. I went air-cooled since I used a Hybrid GPU (3080 FTW3) instead of an AIO on the CPU. The GPU in this config stays at 62C during long gaming sessions and in the 40s during regular work applications.

It's a great product, but it's specifically designed for the Dan4 case. Many users of the CPU cooler in the Dan4 case reverse the fan direction and add foam tape to the cooler's sides, turning it into a vent that draws air from the side of the case onto the CPU. This tweak can reduce CPU temperatures by 3-4°C. It would be nice if these optimizations were built into the design, especially considering it's custom-made for the Dan4 case, where every bit of efficiency matters.

Sebbene lo abbia dovuto restituire perché ho dovuto cambiare il mio sistema da AMD a Intel, e purtroppo questo dissipatore non è compatibile con la mia scheda madre attuale, ho avuto la possibilità di testarlo per un paio di settimane. Oltre all'elevata qualità dei materiali e alla facilità di montaggio, l'Alpenfohn Black Ridge si conferma il miglior dissipatore per configurazioni ITX a basso profilo, e si è rivelato più che adeguato per dissipare un Ryzen 7 3700X. L'unico problema reale è la ventola che arriva con il dissipatore. Oltre ad essere montata al contrario, che è un difetto noto di questo prodotto e stranamente non è ancora stato risolto, è abbastanza rumorosa. Consiglio di sostituirla con una ventola sottile Noctua da 80mm per prestazioni di raffreddamento migliori e livelli di rumore più accettabili. Se avete memorie RAM very low profile, allora potete usare anche una ventola da 120mm sottile per prestazioni ancora migliori. Chiaramente così il costo complessivo sale, ma ne vale davvero la pena. Prodotto assolutamente consigliato e che mi è dispiaciuto davvero mandare indietro.
