Review: Great lock, no key or batteries needed! - We needed to secure a door but didn't want to invest in a lot of money to do so. This is a unique lock, in that there is no battery that will need to be replaced. No key needed. There is no touch screen. The lock system is done with "jumpers" and you chose what numbers you want by moving the jumpers around. You cannot have duplicate numbers, though. The numbers do not have be compressed in any particular order, either. Then, to open, pull down on the handle. To lock the door, you pull up on the handle. You can lock the door from inside, by pulling up on the handle, too, so it will give you security. It has a nice finish and is nice and sturdy. It was easy enough to install. We had to drill some extra holes in a metal door, working around previous holes from other locks. Highly recommend!

We needed to secure a door but didn't want to invest in a lot of money to do so. This is a unique lock, in that there is no battery that will need to be replaced. No key needed. There is no touch screen. The lock system is done with "jumpers" and you chose what numbers you want by moving the jumpers around. You cannot have duplicate numbers, though. The numbers do not have be compressed in any particular order, either. Then, to open, pull down on the handle. To lock the door, you pull up on the handle. You can lock the door from inside, by pulling up on the handle, too, so it will give you security. It has a nice finish and is nice and sturdy. It was easy enough to install. I installed one of these on the entry door of my garage over five years ago. It still looks new and works perfectly. I'll install this one on the entry door between the garage and the kitchen. I've tried electronic locks, but they seem to fail prematurely. This lock accepts only one programmable code, which works good for me.
