PETMAKER Pet Gate, 3 Panel Freestanding Dog Gate Indoor, Brown, 54” x 32”

I was looking for something that would keep my 19 pound pup separated from going up/down the stairs. He hasn’t proved to us that he’s able to have free reign of the house without peeing on something so we try to keep him in whichever part of the apartment we’re in. This works great for the top of the stairs. We really only have two areas- the upstairs and the downstairs and everything is open space. Due to being on the top of the stairs, he doesn’t attempt to knock it over (which he definitely could) so for us it works great. We also like that you can adjust it to your needs or easily fold it away. However if this is for a bigger dog or to put in an area where the floor is completely flat on both sides of the gate (not stairs) I can see how they could easily knock it over. Would work great for smaller dogs for sure, in my opinion, such as my 9 lb shih tzu.

First, I love how classy and nice this gate looks in our house. I bought it to keep my my cat out of my sunroom where all of my plants are. He's a chunky boy and since I ordered the tall version he doesn't even bother hopping over it. With this being said- it is very lightweight and not very sturdy. My dog just sees it and thinks "oh. gate. can't go there" and doesn't bother it. But if you have a dog that will try to knock it over.. they definitely will succeed. All in all it works for me and I like it.

This gate looks very nice and fit our needs perfectly when we got it. We have 3 large dogs in the house and two need to be separated. This gate did the trick and was tall enough that the dogs didn't get any ideas about going over it. Over the month and a half that we had it, people walked through multiple times per day by swinging the end panel. The gate is hinged, so that seemed fine at first, but apparently we are too high traffic for the construction of the gate. After about 3 weeks, one of the hinged posts started twisting, so we flipped it over and used the other panel to walk through. It only took 2 weeks for that one to start twisting, and a week later it completely came apart. I would still recommend this gate for an area that didn't have walk-through traffic, but it was not the solution for us in the end.

Nice, simple gate for my chocolate lab. It’s possibly not as durable as some other ones, since it’s made of just a simple, light wood. But my dog isn’t trying to knock it over or anything. It does have the best price out of any other gate I’ve found and is tall enough for my big dog. Love the matching white color as well. Overall, I’d say it’s a good buy. If you need something heavier and more sturdy, this one might not be for you.

We needed a free standing pet gate, so I purchased this on October 9th. It was more expensive than what I was looking for, but it looked like it fit exactly what I needed. It looks good, clean white color, folds up so it can be stuck in the corner out of the way when not in use. After a short amount of time, I noticed a chunk of wood popped out. It was on the corner, but not really problematic, so I just glued it back. You can see that in one of the pictures. Today, I noticed that one of the screws in the hinges fell out. I went to put it back and it wouldn't catch because the wood around it is cracked. I'm very disappointed because of the price of this gate and the fact that it was exactly what we were looking for, but it seems to be falling apart with normal use, so I don't expect this to last me much longer. If you are looking for a free standing pet gate, I suggest you look elsewhere. Edit to add: reduced the rating to 1-star because it just completely broke. This is unacceptable. This is very poor quality and you should stay away.

This gate is poorly made. It has cracks and I’ve had it less than 2weeks.

That's exactly what it's supposed to do I did get some sticky grips and put them on the bottom to stop it from sliding on my tile

This is very nice! Looks well-made. We use it in our entry way area to keep our pup out of our flex room and upstairs. Folds together nicely and came already assembled.

Easy to use and nice looking. Movable so you can use it to block the stairs, or between two rooms, just move it around. A fantastic product.

It's not good quality very flimpsy looks like it could break it it fell over if dog bumps it differently not worth the price

Bad quality it broke in less than a week into pieces. Not recommended
