our water softener broke last year, and my hair has been looking downright tragic ever since. buildup, hair fall - it’s just bad, trust me. so i started researching hair products for hair water. a lot of them are too harsh. like i wanna fix my hair, not strip the color and turn it into straw. after hours and hours of research, i landed on this detox shampoo bc i use other sun bum products on my hair and have always been pleased w the results.it has acv, but didn’t strip my hair (or my boyfriend’s). it did exactly what i hoped. in just one wash, it looks so much better you guys. and it smells amazing - like tropical bananas. way more banana scent than their other products, which i love. i followed with conditioner and a hair mask. oh, and i (gently) used one of those $4 shampoo brushes with the shampoo. it lathered fine. i saw people saying it didn’t lather well, i assume those people are used to shampoo w various sulfates. *you don’t need a bunch of bubbles to get clean* seriously, bubbles means sulfates, and that’ll wreck your hair. anyway, you won’t regret buying this. in a few days i’ll do an acv rinse on my scalp (girl+hair), and a few days after that i’ll use 8 second wonder water on my ends (the one in the brown bottle, not the newer dream lengths one). i’m hoping the combo will begin to heal my long hair from hard water damage. i’ll be using this shampoo once or twice a month to make sure that my hair stays healthy and hard water build up free!

Nicest clarifying shampoo I've ever used.I recently returned to brunette after years as a platinum blonde and I'm trying to grow the drier parts of my hair that were blonde. I use serums and oils to add moisture and I work out daily, i.e. I'm sweating buckets by the end of a session so together I can get a lot of build up.I have tried tons of higher end clarifying shampoos over the years, this one hands down is the best.My hair did not feel stripped at all. It did not fade my color. My hair is super soft and shiny. It smells great. It lathers nice. I'm so impressed I'm going to order some of their other products.The only thing I would change about this is the shampoo is almost gel like, the hole in the cap to squeeze it out is small and the bottle is a hard plastic not that easy to squeeze. I unscrew the cap. This would absolutely not deter me from purchasing again or highly recommending it.

I use it 2-3x a week and even though its a detox shampoo it doesn’t leave my hair like hay. I’ve had it for a while and the bottle is still more than half full, so what you’re paying seems really fair for the amount of shampoo. It smells really good too, just like beachy sunscreens. The only issue is that the bottle is really hard for me to squeeze, especially since it isn’t completely full. I tried to store it upside down but it started leaking, so I might just put it in another container. Other than that issue, I really like how my hair feels and looks after using it, so I’d buy it again.

Holy smokes! This detox shampoo is thick and luxurious, smells AMAZING, and left my hair so soft and shiny. I used it without conditioner and was able to comb through my hair with no problem. I really wanted to give it 5 stars, but I am very frustrated with the packaging. First of all, it's a much smaller bottle than usual shampoos. Second, the container itself is very rigid and makes it IMPOSSIBLE to squeeze the shampoo out through the flip top cap. I had to remove the cap and wait for the thick shampoo to slowly seep out of the bottle. This product really needs a pump dispenser. I'm going to see if I can find my own pump dispenser that will work because I really love this shampoo.

Well, it was bagged separately and then added to a larger Amazon package bag which tells me they already knew it had a leak at the warehouse. Typical Amazon delivery. Product itself is grand.

It was my first time ordering this product and I don't know yet if it is good or not. I received it today and found that the push top cap had opened during shipment and a lot of the shampoo had poured out. Thank goodness it's in a plastic bag, but even then there is a small amount on the outside of the bag. The level in the bottle is now down below the word Sun. I feel like I've been cheated out of multiple shampoos. I read another review that shows the same problem. They need to put tape across the top of the cap so that it doesn't open so easily. I've ordered other things that have this type of cap and never had this problem before. The only positive I know at this point is that I like the smell - and I can smell it because it's all over the place.UPDATE: I tried the product and it seemed to work well. I had no problem getting it to lather, as some other reviewers had complained, and my hair felt softer afterwards. Product is good, packaging is not.

I love sun bum products and this smells like their typical fragrance. I didn’t check the size of the bottle when I bought it so it was a bit smaller than I had anticipated. I am using this more as a clarifying treatment on my natural curly hair. I didn’t find it overly stripping like some clarifying treatments can but but still felt clean. I did follow this up by using a hair mask and my hair still looked well moisturized the second day when it’s usually dry after a clarifying wash.

Love this shampoo it works amazing on my hair. Especially since im going through radiation and my hair is dry and falling out. It moisturizes without over drying it. Plus it smells amazing and its vegan and cruelty free.Ive used it before and instantly fell in love its all i use now.But ive never had a problem with shipping until now not sure why but the bottle arived in different packaging that didn't secure it properly so it was open and leaked EVERYWHERE!!! this shamp isn't cheap and i go through it b4 the month is over. So now i don't have a months worth because its all over the package and had to clean the rest off the side of the bottle🙁
