Great quality traditional design taps
Just had these fitted today and I have to say, I'm well pleased with the result. They look great, compared with the modern-style ones they have replaced, which were dripping and due to the stupid design, the water was flowing back along the horizontal part of the tap onto the part of the unit were the soap would normally be placed (I had to affix an elastic band on them to stop that happening while waiting for the new taps to be fitted). Even if these new ones were to drip, which I don't expect to happen for quite a long time because they are a reputable brand, the traditional design means that the drips would run into the sink and drain away. Also, being traditional design, they don't have any plastic inserts in them, so I think they will probably remain much cleaner for longer (the cold tap of the other design needed to be brushed every couple of weeks to remove the horrible black mould that would build up inside the discharge point of the tap). I have purchased the matching 1901 series taps for the hand wash basin as well and they look and feel just as good. The only problem is, I shall have to train my mind to remember to turn both handles the same way, rather than the opposite way for hot and cold as with the modern design, but I'll get used to it.

Great taps
Bought on the advice of my plumber, who told me that prices are competitive on Amazon and you are buying Bristan, so stand a good chance of getting spares, rather than needing to buy new taps when something wears out, as you would by buying the type of taps sold in DIY superstores. I’m no expert but they appear decent quality for a decent price, backed by a big name.

APPALLING QUALITY *UPDATE
The bath/shower selector lever sheared off within two weeks of installation. You'd expect much better from a reputable company like Bristan . I'm awaiting a response from them. *Since my initial review Bristan have arranged to supply replacement parts. Hopefully this will fix the problem without me having to do a complete reinstallation. I can't fault their after-sales service, the young lady I spoke to was very savvy and helpful

I absolutely love these taps!
Such a utilitarian household product but I love these taps. For years I have put up with taps that had round handles, were ugly, and hard to turn with soapy hands. These taps look and feel classy and are a delight by comparison. I’ve always loved the traditional look of this tap design but had not bought them as I thought they would be hard to fit and I didn’t want the expense of a plumber to replace my old taps that weren’t actually broken. Well I was right about the hard to fit part due to the cramped space I was working in, but I’m proud of myself for managing it. Apart from looks, and their solid feel, I also like how they are so easy to turn and they release a lot of water at once due to the large spout, which means the water doesn’t come gushing out everywhere.

Quick delivery and good price
They didn't have these in stock at my local DIY store - would take a couple of days to deliver. Next day delivery on Amazon and a hefty saving too - a happy customer. Oh and the taps seem fine too. BUT I have to say I am not a fan of symetrical operation. Sorry turning the hot tap clockwise to open is just plain confusing and not consistent with established conventions- but it does seem to be all the rage these days. Will lead to a generation not knowing which way to turn a valve wheel to open it!

Shoddy fail
This bath tap set was recommended to me by a plumber. Within eight months the housing around the hot tap failed. Within three years the button on the cold tap fell off. Now, at five years it leaks a litre an hour. I briefly wondered about changing the washer or calling a plumber, but it's too risky - I assume it's going to be a properly expensive fail. We're just a few months away from a new bathroom that will be free of shoddy Bristan fittings. We don't use that plumber any more.

Bath tap/ shower set
Spray head is very wide and sprays a wide area so beware if this is an issue for your bathroom area (we changed the end for a more controlled spray )
