All 21 episodes from the first three series of Channel Four's hit Crime drama. '[Deering] is a brilliant creation, rude as eff and in your face, but also warm and human, and adored by her team of under-resourced crime-stoppers. Rude and warm, it is a lovely combination.' The Guardian 'A feast for all the senses.' The Daily Telegraph 'No Offence's plotting is clever, its tone original and its dialogue often glorious.' The Times 'No matter how gritty the crimes get, there's always this kind of glow coming from the characters. It echoes the genius of Abbott's earlier series Shameless...there was a never-ending stream of warmth. Just the thing for January nights (and indeed the rest of the year).' The Daily Express Includes subtitles for the Hard Of Hearing Review: Excellent British Television - Excellent British television police series. Brilliant acting, gripping Action. Brilliant drama
Loved it. There was gentle, tongue-in-cheek humour to compliment the down-to-earth police business. Much more realistic than a lot of other police/detective dramas. Hoping for another series.

Worth Having
This series of 3 seasons deserved more, great characters, solid stories with just the lightest touch of humour.

Fantastic Series!
SPOILER ALERT WITHIN THIS REVIEW! I admit I have come late to the series, but it was worth waiting for. Firstly the only downside; not many extras in the box set-in fact only S1 have a few extras-more would have been nice. But value for money is great. Now the series. Police shows are popular and its hard to stand out from the crowd but this does with top notch acting and and writing. The first two series in particular are stunning-a crime of the week mixed in with an overarching series length crime which makes every episode fresh. The characters are superb-warm, genuine but with enough snap. The third is slightly different with a tragic case for our favourite cops to process; the murder of one of their own and I can’t deny, I missed Joy as the chemistry between the three leading ladies in the first two series was possibility it’s strongest factor. But overall this is a fantastic series and one that I enjoy coming back to

Brilliant, Absolutely Brilliant
Brilliantly written, brilliantly acted, brilliant to watch. I loved every single minute of it. Fast paced, great for a binge watch fest, has some hugely funny moments too. Adults only though, lots of swearing including the "F" and "C" 4 letter words. What a shame there were only 3 series. One that I'll definitely be watching again in a couple of years. Money very well spent, I'm very happy to recommend this boxset. English subtitles available if you need them..

Wonderful. Simply Wonderful.
This is absolutely wonderful. I am a great fan of Paul Abbott’s work and this is among his very best. Set in Manchester on Friday Street (not the 5th Avenue of Manchester) the series concerns the team of DI Viv Deering (played magnificently by Joanna Scanlan). Viv is about 10 stone overweight but knows how to throw that weight around. She has a tart mouth with a gift for street slang, pop culture references, and just about every bawdy, ribald, randy reference imaginable. She is assisted by DS Joy Freers (Alexandra Roach) who lacks self-confidence but always manages to rise to the occasion and by DC Dinah Kowalska (played by the superb Elaine Cassidy), a Polish woman (she’s actually Irish) who surprises Polish perps and ne’er-do-wells by speaking their language. They are supported by an ensemble cast, several of whom include mainstay British character actors. There are three seasons; the first concerns the murder of young girls with Down Syndrome; the second a black/Irish gang war, in particular the matriarch of the black gang, Nora Attah (Reike Ayola); the third a political assassination attempt that may not be entirely what it seems. Each season consists of six 45-minute episodes, but don’t count on watching one a night. Once you’ve begun you’ll end up in the wee hours, with red eyes, but ready for more. The plots are solid, if just a tad implausible, but with very, very satisfying endings. Manchester is nicely realized and the themes are solid. The pacing is slightly faster than Dale Earnhardt’s average speed. The characters, however, are nothing short of remarkable and the writing is absolutely first-rate. The concept is striking—a mostly female team with more testosterone than the Chicago Bears and dialogue that Dennis Miller would have to struggle to stay even with. Count on your viewing partner(s) to continually ask how many episodes are left. It will be a dark moment in your life when this gem comes to an end. This is easily in the top five of my all-time favorite British crime dramas (and that is a very long list). Some gore, some sex, some comedy; definitely adult entertainment (but not offensively so). This is a don’t-miss. Trust me on this.

Series 3 was for another region!
I bought this 3 series set. The first 2 series were wonderful but when I tried the 2 discs for series 3, they were not for this region. I am very disappointed, contacted the seller but, as it was more than 3 months since I purchased, They would do nothing. Who would think that you'd have to check the discs in a pre-packaged set in order to make sure the discs were all for the same region. I will not order anything again from Chalkys CA.
