I managed to still get a copy!
This is an old book but very complete in its topic. It took me a while to find a reasonably total priced copy (the delivery cost was far higher than the cost for the book), so I am very happy!

Welcome back, old friend!
We had a copy of this for years and years until it fell apart. I was absolutely delighted to find it again. I often use it in conjunction with the Reader's Digest book (also long out of print but re-discovered in softback) but this is ideal for a first search when what you have is an unknown flower. Start with the colour, fine-tune via number and shape of petals and/or habitat and you have a good chance of putting at least a possible name to it.

Brilliant
Exceptionally good book, really well laid out and written. This will never be out of date and is superb - a bargain. The same publisher printed a book "Trees of Britain and Northern Europe", again superb.

Foraging Identification of plants
This book is an excellent aid to ensuring that you know which plants can be foraged. It tells you when you should not risk mistakes with similar poisonous plants. It is a heavy book so use it in conjunction with the Collins Pocket book "Food for Free" and it make life so much easier.

Field Guide in Colour to Wild Flowers
I love this book. It's laid out in a very organised way with colour sections to easily identify flowers (i.e all yellow flowers together, purple ones etc) great for anyone who thinks, 'that's a nice flower a wonder what that is' whilst they are out walking.
