Fun. Engaging. Interesting Characters
Wow, it is a pleasure to read an Indie publication that has been successfully edited. I found ZERO errors, ZERO repeated words, ZERO problems ... Nothing (Not.A.Thing!) bothers me more than getting pulled out of a story because an author used an incorrect word ("their" where it should have been "there") or if a word is inexplicably repeated ... None of that happens here. This appears to be a professionally edited, successfully Beta-Read, novel. And I thank the author for that!!!As for the story, while it appears to be a current trope for authors, this take on the "hiring a fake girlfriend" genre is a lot of fun to read. Of course, there's a standard suspension of disbelief involved, but I had no problem with that. The story starts and after just a slight hesitation, I was surely engaged and interested. Our two main characters are very different, and as the book progresses, alternating POV chapters between each of them, we're treated to very different "voices" ... it's a wonderful way to get to know characters and it's pulled off successfully here.Add into the mix a wonderful travelogue aspect and this book was just a fun and engaging read. I have to admit, I read it quickly, it surely grabs your attention and pulls you in.The four stars out of five is simply because the ending feels a bit rushed, but truly, this book is worth your time and money.

A Breath of Salt Air
On paper this sounds like yet another story of a lonely bachelorette hiring someone to pretend a romantic relationship for the usual reasons, in this case to get back at an ex. What sets this story apart, for one, is the charming synergy between the two main characters. Celeste is the epitome of the wealthy, successful, stylish and uptight socialite, but she's also a bit offbeat and lives a lot in her own head, dealing with her insecurities with a manic, mad scientist sort of zeal. Lane, by contrast, is a bit bohemian and a free spirit but has her feet firmly planted on the ground, approaching situations with practicality and common sense.Another thing that sets this story apart is the subtle shift in tone as the book reaches the middle. The main characters find their problems set aside and their tensions draining away as their trip makes its dreamlike sojourn through the Greek islands, and the two of them are left to their own devices to explore one serene landscape after another. For a time, both for the reader and the characters, they feel like the only people in the world. In short, a great vacation with interesting people. Highly recommended!

Interesting
The story is an engrossing one. The plan is simple, but full of flaws. It is similar to the movie Wedding Date. The premise is a date for hire. In this case, it is a out of work stylist and a wealthy socialite. Celeste is set on a revenge on her ex that broke her heart. Lane, out of work stylist, agrees to this get even plan. Although she is a bit cynical at the idea, she decides to make the best of it. As most romance stories go the two fall in love and the world is all the better. The down side of this story is the continuous introspection between the two of them. Volumes of words, very well written, consume a great portion of the story and I found myself scrolling through the magnitude of the words. I found it did not take away from the story, however, sometimes being succinct is better. The story is very good and held my attention. The writer has a well formed grasp on story telling. I rated this a 4 out of 5 due to the verbose writing style.

Not too bad
This was an engaging read, despite the predictable nature of the story. The story relies a little too much on the standard tropes of lesbian romantic fiction. But, despite this, it's still manages to be engaging and it kept me reading.I would've liked to see more interaction between Lane and Celeste and Gina and Kaia. The Gina angle felt . . . rushed, like she was set up to be a bigger villain then plans changed and the plot thread was forgotten.Still, I recommend the book.

Loved It!!!!
I loved this book! I have a very vivid imagination and was able to see the story unfold perfectly the way the author explained it. I fell in love with both characters.

Fake dating makes for a sweet romance
How Celeste and Lane meet was believable, and the two of them couldn’t be more different. First person viewpoints in alternating chapters draws the reader into their inner thoughts, insecurities, fears and hopes. Drawing closer over a period of time before falling into bed was a nice change from too many novels where the women almost immediately fall in love. I knocked a star off for a plot hole. I expected Celeste to know more of the guests since she and her ex ran in the same social circles. And little mention was made of any of Verity’s relatives, even though they had grown up together. Otherwise, a sweet story.

Super fun, super fluffy
I picked this up during the last big lesfic sales at iheartlesfic and finally got around to reading it this weekend. Is the whole premise silly? Yes. Is the whole premise of most fake relationship books silly? Also yes. BUT! That means that if fake relationship books are one of your weaknesses, like they are for me, then you'll probably enjoy this one as much as I did. After having one hell of a stressful week, it turned out to be the perfect fluffy escapism for me to relax and put it all behind me. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm glad I read it.

Pretend girlfriend
This is my first book by this author but I'm sure it won't be my last. It was a cute and enjoyable read with enough development that you felt like you understood and could empathise with the main characters as well as having a good feel for everything else around them.

Surprisingly enjoyable.
After reading the book's blurb and the first few chapters, I thought that this book was going to be very 'thin'. But I was willing to give it a try and it suprised me in the end by being enjoyable and often funny.

Five star for the first third
It started off as a lovely romance. Then it turns all incoherent and lecturing. All sense of realistic characters went out the window.
