The package claims that it contains: Sandalwood essential oils, sandalwood, beeswax, and plant waxes and oils. It does not mention phthalates. Personally I love the smell of the stuff but I started using this and another couple of solid colognes and I developed a rash. Most likely it's not the fault of the product as I can't use solid deodorant due to the fact that most give me a rash. Just keep it in mind that if solid deodorant gives you a rash this will as well.
