Cyril RaffaelliDistrict 13: Ultimatum

If you felt weird about the scenes with Damien dancing seductively in a dress, don't be, most of those shots were done with a real woman, then switched out in the parts where it shows it's Damien (Cyril) - Cyril is too muscular and wide in the waist to fool anyone that he is female (and I think he has a hairy stomach too). If you enjoyed the few shots where Cyril is actually in a dress, then something is wrong with your head. There is enough sexually suggestive material and violence that this film is not for kids. The plot is not something you need a lot of brain cells to watch, and how easy it is to get into the police station and to the president is ridiculous and laughable. Reality is forgone in order to throw in more parkour scenes - the frivolousness reminds me of the parkour scene from "The Office." (The official channel for the show posted it on their youtube channel if you're unfamiliar with it.) In Ultimatum there are also different gang factions - ie. the Chinese, the Blacks, and the Muslims/Arabs - and this film goes hard on the racial stereotypes, even including one shot where a guy is rolled up in a carpet and the leader of the Muslims/Arabs calls it a "real Arabian carpet." Ultimatum is not a movie that you can take seriously, and even though there are a few decent parkour/action scenes, it is nowhere as good as the first Banlieue film. You might watch it if you watched the first and it left you wanting more, but ultimately it may leave you thinking it might have been better if they didn't create a sequel.

My favorite kind of action film with lots of leaping, feats of strength, courage, and agility. I have watched movies over and over for one parkour scene. This movie has LOTS of fabulous parkour scenes along with great car chases and amusing fight scenes.Enjoyed the French language with good English subtitles.

This movie was very good. It was very fun to watch.

I have seen this movie a few times in different languages and Primetime I just have to say AWESOME.

"Audio languages English", well that is what the Amazon listing says.What I say is "male bovine organic fertilizer" ....orin Amazon's version of English "engrais organique bovin mâle".I guess this what one sets when they outsource their add writing to Pakistan Hindus that are not familiar with what English sounds like.it is a shame because It is actually a good video and the subtitles are in actual English.c'est dommage car c'est en fait une bonne vidéo et les sous-titres sont en anglais.

First off, this isn't the BEST acted film nor the highest budgeted but it is a big step up from the last film which had great heart and imagination but fell through on some of the quality.The two top billed characters are back (Leto and Damien), and, if anything, Damien has really benefited the most from the time since last movie and has a number of fight sequences that are much better choreographed and the sound design is much less hollow as well as the music being much less simple or repetitive.The story is predictable, but the characters aren't so you still have a pretty darn satisfying journey ahead of you like a little bit of plot with your action then you get it and a nice little ending that blends well with some of the moral arguments made by the movie.All in all, it is a good step up from B13 with mostly only improvements to speak of.

This is the best French political action movie I have ever seen.

A good sequel though not quite as punchy as the first. Would recommend watching it in the original French and using subtitles as the English over dub's are a little poor. Still a great film to watch, Anyone who saw the French guy who did the jump out of the helicopter in Die Hard 4.0 will recognise the French policeman ... I would recommend watching the first one first though so you understand the casts dynamics

Really good film, plenty of over the top action if you like that sought of stuff, I do it makes the film more interesting!!

The best sequal. Even better than the first film. Amazing martial arts and parkour. Any fan of David Belle and Cyril Raffaelli needs to watch this film. I've watched it 10 times it's one of my most favourite French films.

I am dead chuffed with this film, heard so much about it with it being David Belle n all. Amazing film, would certainly recommend this to anyone who practices the art of movement (Parkour/Freerunning) :)
