Works Great!
I use this on my Akaso Action cam to plug into the external mic connection, and then run that to my Sony voice recorder. This gives me much better audio than the external mic in the camera.

Does not work for audio for Mophie Cases
I probably should have done research before purchasing this product, but it will NOT transmit audio through your Mophie case to aux. It seems like a good product, but don't make the same mistake I did.

It works fine
Life can be so complicated! I wanted a lavalier microphone for clearer narration while making iphone videos. I am using a Mophie battery case which is hard to take on and off. The Mophie uses a micro USB port to connect with the iphone port. I could not find a microphone with a micro USB port. This little cable nicely couples my microphone jack to the Mophie micro USB port. It is short, light and adds little bulk. It works fine.

Doesn't work
Did not work for me. Needed to plug external mic to my action camera, which only supports micro USB. Amazon sent a replacement and that didn't work either. I know the input on the camera works because it works with other mics that I have. I know my mic works because it works when plugged into PCs and other devices. This dongle just doesn't work, at least not for me. Returning original and replacement for refund.
