High quality knife set and block
Exactly what I was looking for. High quality and great price. These knives are sharp and cut well. If you want a good quality knife set and block this is the brand for you. Love that it came in black to match other items in my kitchen. Very impressive knives

The item I received does not match any of the pictures; I received a low-end version of JA Henckels.
I received a version called Fine Edge with a self-sharpening block. This set is a low-end version, which includes lighter, stamped style knives that are made in China. This set is also available at $99 at Homegoods and similar stores. The pictures shown in product description are for different models (forged and made in Spain) and I can see that some buyers received those sets, which is great. However, in my case, I made my purchase through GAJA Marketplace, and they tried to convince me that these are the manufacturers pictures provided and claimed that I am getting an equivalent set, which is completely bogus. They agreed for the return but asked me to use their return label instead of Amazon's, which is also suspicious. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Great set of knives
I love these knives! They are super sharp and easy to hold snd maneuver. The block is very clean looking and not bulky. Highly recommend

About as advertised for 15 piece set
Bought this not sure if I would get Spain or Chinese manufacturing so to eliminate doubt for anyone else- The main cooking blades are Spain, the shears Chinese, and the steak knives from India. Kind of a mixed bag but overall good enough, just glad the main blades are the Spain forged. Not sure about 20piece but 15piece set.

Looking Forward to Using This Set
After considerable research, I determined that the Henckels Classic 7-piece Self-Sharpening Knife Block Set best met our needs. One, Henckels has an excellent reputation. Two, we have had a set of Henckels steak knives for years that have held up well. Three, we are not avid cooks, so could not justify investing in more expensive knives. Four, I like the self-sharpening aspect of this set, as I am too lazy to constantly maintain the desired sharpness. And they are sharp! We just purchased this set, so cannot yet report on its use, but with proper care, we look forward to years of satisfaction with this set.

This is a nice mid line quality knife set
Nicely balanced, appear to be able to hold an edge, (not sure about the self sharpening feature yet) and good value for the money. Replaced my very old and tired set with these and I'm very pleased so far.

Trim the block!
After getting a taped up, returned, resold box first, it arrived really fast, again in no additional packaging. The product is beautiful and we look forward to enjoying them for the rest of our lives. We will saw off about 4” of the block though, because it’s bigger than it needs to be (dwarfs the old set!!). Super sharp, beautiful, self sharpening, super complete set of forged knives, adds to our beautiful new kitchen.
