The World of the Hunger Games Kindle Edition

The first thing I think people should know about this book is that it's small. Take a standard size sheet of paper and fold it in half and that's the size of this book. It's easy to overlook sizing when buying a book, so I was a bit surprised when I first saw it.The book doesn't really go very in depth of the story, it's more like a movie-illustrated storybook telling you what The Hunger Games and Panem are all about. One interesting thing is that it appears to have been written based off of an early script because some of the "lines" quoted in it are not found in the book OR the movie.The middle of the book is a little weird when it gets to the Arena because while the beginning and end features actual writing, the middle is all pictures and captions, as if the author got lazy.Scholastic published three books and the best of the three is the Illustrated Companion. That one goes very in-depth to the creation of the movie and even the publishing of the book. I gave this one four stars simply because it's photo heavy and the photos are a really great part of it. I also own the Kindle edition.

This book is so darn cute! I really enjoy it and it gives a lot of insight to the world of Panem and The Hunger Games. This would be the perfect gift for any Hunger Games fan and collector! It came in good condition. Thank You !

The book is a standard HC-sized book, less than 200 pgs. Not much in it but some quotes from the novel or movie dialog and stills from the movie. I thought maybe it would give more insite to Panem ala the Star Trek books that give more detail about the ships and races that inhabit other planets. This was a little disappointing. Its more a publicity book than a behind-the-scenes or extra info book. It has a glossary in back with the names of the other tributes and a few details about them, and items in Panem. That might be helpful if one never read the books and only saw the movie to help keep things straight in your mind about whats going on in the movie. Glad I purchased used, I dont feel so bad about wasting my money on this. It's really not worth it unless you HAVE to collect all sorts of Hunger Games memorobilia.

I really liked the in depth detail that it went into on a lot of the descriptions or grey areas in the book/movie, but I really feel like that most of the sources for the book were based off the movie, and the movie didn't cover EVERYTHING that was in the book so you missed a lot of that detail/description if you read the book so things might not add up. Also I liked the pictures but not all were accurate because they came from the movie, not separate pictures that had more of the detail from the book.

This book is not what I thought I was getting. I ordered this because in the description it says its a book that says things about each district and each character from all the BOOKS. HA!!!!! All this is pictures from the first movie!

the best set of books that I have read in a long time that are out of my usual topic of vampires. have not seen the movie yet wanted to read the books first but do own the movie and will watch and have the second movie on preorder.

But I can't wait to see the other books in movie form. Well written, great personal perspective that allows you to really get inside of Katniss's head, and see all the directions her heart is pulled. A very easy but very entertaining read

I got this book cheap for around £4, and even though the book is good I wouldn't pay any more for it. It's a small, picture filled little book, but I wouldn't say No. 1 fans would like this, as the book has tedious facts that you would already know off by heart if you'd read the books. I enjoy reading this time after time because I use some of the photos as references for my art. Personally, I think this is a cute little book for any fan's collection, but don't get your hopes up for something outstanding.

The teenager loves the Hunger Games and anything associated with it.There is nothing else to say. It is great.

This was a present so I don't know much. But the daughter I got it for appears totally happy with it.

Do not waste your money! Just read the actual hunger games books and you will learn more than this book can tell you. This book is a rip off!
