50mm hole is too small, needs 2" chamfered opening
8/7/21: This review is for the Hicarer 2-1/8 Inch (55 mm) Quartz Clock Fit-up/Insert. Nice little clock, only had for a few days but seems to be keeping time. One important note: the product description calls for a 50mm mounting hole, but I needed to go up to 2" (50.8mm) and chamfer the opening to get it to fit. There was simply no getting it installed @ 50mm.Just FYI, your mileage may vary.

Size matters
The hole recommended when ordering is 2 inches, but with the tensioning elastic band it's not even close to fitting. Without the elastic, at least 4 wraps of electrical tape are needed to have it fit snugly. But all of that is meaningless if the time can't be adjusted. The wheel is ridiculously small, and then it just stopped adjusting totally. And forget trying to change the battery without jewelers tools. There was a warning that this is a frequently returned item. No wonder. Pick your reason. I have crafted literally hundreds of clocks of various sizes, this being my first, and last, attempt with a small size. Don't waste your time and money.

Incorrect info
The media could not be loaded. Clock face itself is good for the price. But the seller is not even aware of their products own dimensions. Insert size is listed as 50 mm which is 1.970in. The actual size you would need is 2.015in. A 2inch forstner bit would work however good luck getting the clock face back out to change the battery. Lucky I have a CNC machine and was able to creep the hole size up until it fit properly.Anyone that doesn’t have a set of calipers would be screwed. They would go and buy a 50mm Forstner Bit and once that holes made you wouldn’t be able to make it bigger with another Forstner bit. That project would now be ruined over a 10 dollar clock insert.
