Best DisplayPort to USB C converter
It seems the best DisplayPort to USB C converter which supports DisplayPort 1.4.I've been using HDMI cable supplied with my 3440x1440 144hz monitor provided by Acer which static electricity discharge happens a lot and makes my display signal interrupt which makes monitor black outs and turns back after few seconds. It was very annoying and I used DisplayPort cable with this converter and the issue is gone.Pros:- Metal housing- Solid build quality- Runs reliable- Cheaper than other competitorsCons:- Runs hot like around 40 degrees celsius.

Great adapter plus good quality cable
Great quality adapter. I got the maximum out of my Alienware monitor just by switching to the display port cable. Buy a high quality cable plus this and you are golden

Works with MBA 13 and 30" Apple Cinema Display
Works well with my corner case! I'm successfully using this to connect a 30" Apple Cinema Display to a 13" MacBook Air (M2) using a StarTech Dual-Link DVI to Display Port adapter.

Works great.
I was struggling to find the best way to connect my beefy gaming laptop to my nice new monitor I got without losing any performance since my laptop does not have a DisplayPort port. I tried some other type C to DP cables but ultimately concluded that for top performance - USB-C to DP adapter (this product) -> standard DP cable. I'm getting full spec with ease. This is a solid brand that's been around awhile and I'm happy with this adapter.

Good Adapter for Price - Absolutely Fantastic Customer Service
I purchased this adapter when the maker of my Thunderbolt 3 dock advised that when using two monitors on a Macbook Pro and their system, they had seen better results from an adapter than a DisplayPort to USB C cable. I have a number of Cable Matters products and have always been happy with them, and like the other products I own, this one was priced right.I purchased it in September 2022 and have been using it daily to power two BenQ 27" monitors. It's not a hard drive to load - they are not even 4k resolution - and it worked perfectly solving all random connection issues with my second monitor (it would originally turn black for a split second with random frequency on the DP-USB C cable).Fast forward to March 2022, my second monitor started having trouble getting a signal when I either rebooted my MBP or woke it from sleep. I would have to unplug the adapter from my dock and plug it back in to get a signal to the monitor.I figured I would have to buy another adapter, so I procrastinated for another month just dealing with this quirkiness before coming to Amazon to reach out to the manufacturer. I honestly didn't even expect a response.I received a reply in less than 24 hours! The CSR and I quickly went through troubleshooting via email and I let him know the alternate things I had tried, and within two emails they let me know they would send me a replacement under warranty. They're located in Massachusetts, much to my surprise, so you're not dealing with a seller in China in a drastically different time/date zone. The replacement works beautifully, and I hope the lack of longevity on the first one was just a fluke. Both of my DisplayPort monitor cables are from this company, as well as a longer Thunderbolt 4 cable because the tiny one provided by the dock manufacturer is far too short (and Cable Matters again was the only one priced reasonably) as well as a number of cables I use for my camera and audio equipment as a videographer. (Their XLR cables have been quite surprisingly good!)

Apple Cinema HD 30 is finally working with my Macbook Pro M3!
The Apple Cinema HD 30 is finally working with my Macbook Pro M3! I thought it would be impossible after trying so many different adapters with no success. I could not get HDMI to work with this monitor, so I gave up on that.If you have an old Cinema HD 30 (CCFL), it should work with these exact parts:-Apple Dual-Link DVI to Mini DisplayPort adapter (requires USB A connection)-CableMatters Mini DisplayPort (female) to DisplayPort (male) short cable-CableMatters DisplayPort (female) to USB CThis USB C adapter is plug and play, no need for drivers on MacOS.Video signal looks great at max resolution: 2560 x 1600, 60hz. Tested with 4k videos.I could not get it to work with my Android phone.

Connects but..
By buddy in IT recommended this brand to me and I’m a day trader with a Dual Monitor set up but when I turn my monitors on 1 of them doesn’t come on until after I’m logged in and it’s annoying. My screen will go black every now and then and I know it’s not my monitor because I have 2 they are the same and I’ve used them on my old computer. You are better off getting a good quality docking station. You get what you pay for..

Work's but seems to be under powered.
I bought 2 connectors, this one and tomtoc's usb c to dp 1.4 adapter. In an effort to redesign and clean up my wiring in my office / man cave, I was in search for specifically the 1.4 adapter to use the longer vesa certified kabeldirekt 15ft dp cable. My laptop powers a Samsung Odyssey G9 and with the shorter usb c 1.2 dp cable, it works just fine. However I did need to relocate my laptop and it's mount for the configuration I was looking for and without a solution for a 15ft usb c to 1.4 dp, this was my only option. The Cable Matters connector works however seems under powered. If it maybe had enough juice to push the signals through a 15ft cable, I think this would be the ideal solution. The reason why I say this is because Tomtoc's unit actually works without issues. The issue I run into is screen tearing and flickering where as the other mentioned unit works flawlessly. The gripe I have about the other unit is the actual USB C connector end itself. It doesn't seem as form fitting as the Cable Matter's one. When I wiggle the cable up and down on Tomtoc's unit, I do occasionally get a full black screen and it comes right back where as the Cable Matters connector did not have that issue. If you are going to go with this solution for anything longer than 10ft, I believe you should look elsewhere (or look into a repeater / amplifier in between). This unit works however not for my application due to my current cable length.
