You'll go bonkers for Bongo the Beanie Buddy, whose tag reads Bongo the Beanie Baby was first named Nana. Ty liked the name Bongo better because he plays the bongos! (The Beanie Buddy is the larger version of the Beanie Baby.) This personable primate has a brown body and a lighter brown face, hands, ears, and tail. He's also got plastic eyes, black thread nostrils, and a coat made from 100 percent Tylon, a Ty Inc. exclusive manmade fabric that has the most luxurious feel you'll find on a plush toy. Bongo's insides are made of polyester fiber and PE pellets in a cloth bag. He makes a wonderful toy or addition to a collection. Surface wash only. --Peggy Etra

This monkey was bought as my grandaughter loved the one belonging to a friend. We managed to track this one at Trade Beanies and it is the absolute favourite toy now she has one of her own.

BONGO
This Monkey is a retired (no longer being made) TY buddy called Bongo. All beanie collectables bear the logo TY on their tags because a Mr TY Warner invented them in 1986.Each of his beanie babies always has their own birthday and poem, but buddy's (larger versions of certain beanie babies) just have a sentence written in their tags. This buddy's tag reads = Bongo the Beanie Baby was first named Nana.Ty Warner liked the name Bongo better because he plays the Bongos!I only gave Bongo a 4 star durability rating, because if his ear tag is constantly being read, it won't last.Bongo is surface washable, and would make the perfect gift for any TY or Monkey fans.
