Great alarm!!
Overall I love this clock! The gradient features (falling asleep and waking up) are awesome. It’s pretty basic in what it can do but I love that. I also love that it has the warm, red light for the middle of the night bathroom trips. The sounds to sleep to or wake up are great— particularly the highland cows and birds. I ended up buying it for my friend for her birthday as well and she *looves* it. She’s a morning person and wakes up easily by herself but she said the slow gradient is great to wake up to so if she does wake up before it, she can slowly get up with it rather than feel the need to hop out of bed. The price is a little much for what it is but overall the quality and performance of it are awesome. Definitely recommend.

Great sunrise clock worth the extra money
This wake up light has great illumination and nice features. The interface is very simple and easy to navigate once you understand it.I live in a very bright area so I have blackout curtains, so I enjoy waking up to a bright light in the morning. It does a great job of waking me up with certain sounds, and the brightness is adjustable if you’re a heavy sleeper. Some cons include the sound. Some of the tracks have audio issues, including the ocean one one of the forest tracks has obvious distortion near the end of the loop. But I believe there are enough options you can find something. Also, personally I find the dimming sunset feature cool but useless, it does not help me fall asleep by any means.Overall expensive but I believe it’s worth the on brand price. The 4 stars represents quality but lacks perfection due to the audio sounds in regards to the price. If you have the extra money I’d invest in this over similar items.

Where has this been all my life?
The gradual changes in light and soft bird songs upon waking have completely changed my mornings. Waking up is so peaceful, and I didn’t expect to enjoy the wind-down light as much as I have at nighttime. The only thing I would change is that the time display is so small and fairly hard to see at night, especially since I don’t sleep with contacts or glasses on.

Outdated and Overpriced
Purchased: May 2024 for $159.00 (overpriced).Pros:Pleasing aesthetic design; more compact than some competitors.Effective sunrise alarm function; I did notice an improvement in my natural waking.Cons:No phone connectivity; can't play music/sounds through phone.Poor radio connection.Bad speaker quality; tinny sound.Only 5 wakeup sounds, under 10-second loops, which is very annoying. I keep it on the bells.Unstable base; easily shifts and turns.Limited alarm settings; can't set different times for different weekdays. Could be solved by having a phone connection.Overall: I regret not returning it within the first 30 days. The functionality is outdated for a recent product. Maybe worth it at a lower price, but I feel it was a bad investment.

Great for People who need to wake up when there is no sunlight
I bought this when I got a new job that requires getting up at 3:30 am and the alarm function works great for waking me up slowly without feeling startled or confused. The light with 25 levels also works really well as a night light on a low setting.

Great product
I used to have so much trouble getting out of bed in the morning. I tried everything. I bought this a few years ago (for over $200, looks like it’s came down since then). I would buy another one tomorrow if this one broke. Few products I buy really fix a problem for me, but this one did. It’s worked so well for me, it’s been eating at me that I haven’t left a review. There’s something about the gentleness of the light slowly brightening that has changed waking up for me for the better. If you try it, I hope it works for you as it has for me. 100% recommend.

Almost good
I found the user interface to be rather clunky. When I am setting an alarm as I go to bed, I expect that to be a pretty mindless process. On this alarm clock, it was not, even after I was fully familiar with the procedure. I had to think harder than I wanted about which button to push one to navigate the menu, and the system times out rather quickly (stops flashing, records the alarm time that you had entered so far), in which case I would have to go back and correct the time if I had not yet finished setting it to the time I wanted. Also, this alarm clock does not have a normal buzzer sound, only things like birds chirping and piano noises. Sometimes (most times, actually) I just want a plain old beep. I really wanted to like this product, and I give it a good long try, but I ended up returning it.

Not sure about the cloud data
My wife bought this, so I’m not a verified buyer. I had to open up the firewall filters so the clock could talk to the Philips cloud and share who knows what data in order to operate. It’s only 2.4 GHz which seems rather antique these days, though obviously longer range. It seemed picky about connectivity with the app and is kind of a brick without app access. The sound quality is really disappointing.
