Just finished reading 'Did You Know', a book containing several chapters on rare information on Hindi cinema, authored by Mr. Bobby Sing. I have known Mr. Sing for a while and have been hugely inspired by his passion and love for cinema. I bought the book a long time back but did not get time to read it (or any other book). When I started reading it finally, I just could not stop turning the pages! Being a Hindi cinema fan and somebody who is constantly on the look-out of rare information (not using the word trivia here, read the book to know why), reading the book was an absolute pleasure. I was not aware of most of the information and facts stated in the book and a large part of the content left me pleasantly surprised and amused as a reader. I found myself looking up the names of a couple of films, songs and other incidents mentioned in the book on the internet. Have made a list of films that I need to watch after reading about them in the book. There are very few books that list such rare information about Hindi Cinema. As a reader and a Hindi film buff, I am grateful to Mr. Bobby Sing for writing this book and I hope he writes a few more in this series.

For a trivia-hunter like me, it's pretty much time consuming to get the concise, accurate, and most importantly verified information on a particular subject. You've to go through Google, Wikipedia and other similar sites and browse numerous links, books or articles to get the accurate information. And, if that subject is Bollywood it's really tough. Very few books are there on the same and if you find a good one it'll be based on a single event - Music, Directors, A particular actor or actress and so on.At this point, Bobby will come to save you through this easy-to-read and concise book covering each and every aspect stated earlier. The chapters are interconnected.This is a book not only for cinema lovers but for everybody who loves India and it's culture. The book is itself a movie as I think.So, go for it and enjoy.This is Vol. 1 as stated by the writer. Hope the book will continue to Vol. 2, 3, 4 and so on.The page quality is pretty good and the publisher - Notion Press is just amazing.The delivery was prompt and the packaging was good as usual. The item was brand new and fully intact. Not a single scratch was there.

This is an updated version of the previous edition, with some more details & information. All lovers of Indian cinema need to have this book in their collection. The short, crisp chapters, crammed with lesser known/unknown facts about several films & film personalities over the years, are not just insightful but also extremely entertaining. It's a breezy read, & you will be hard pressed to put it down once you pick it up!
