Did it's job!
After many many different oil filter tools for a stubborn oil filter (chain, strap, wrench, other caps, universal clamp) this finally got it free. The welding looks a little iffy I'm not sure how it'll hold up if i had to apply more pressure since it looked like only the inside of the nut was welded on? I changed my oil filters to the ones that have a nut at the end so hopefully this was a once and done tool. I wouldn't trust it to hold up overtime but for 10 bucks it saved me a headache and another trip to the auto shop.

Nice Filter Wrench for my Volvo V70XC!
I was needing a filter wrench for my 2001 Volvo V70XC and couldn't find anything that fit from the local auto parts stores. Not knowing what to expect, I took a chance on this one since most of the reviews were 5 star and the price was exceptional. When I received it, I was quite pleased with the construction and finish. I have a brand new oil filter housing for my Volvo (since the one currently on my car is chewed up from the former owner using slip-jaw pliers or something on it) and the fit is perfect! I have worked as a mechanic my whole life (aircraft & automotive), and spent a couple of years as a technician at an automotive dealership and I can say that the tool looks like it is designed for heavy-duty use.The stamped steel housing is thicker than those found in local auto parts stores and the drive adapter has a thick arc welded bead along the inside of the tool. So, it appears to be made to hold up to some fairly heavy torque. Although the product description states that it is 1/2", the drive adapter is actually made for direct attachment to a 3/8" drive. Perhaps this error stems from the fact that they offer a much larger wrench (118-131mm) and this is a more accurate description of their other offerings. The 3/8" drive adapter works perfectly and a 21mm socket fits nicely on the external hex. Fits with SAE sizes are a mixed bag, though. I was able to attach a 13/16" 12-pt. box-end wrench, but not the opposing open-end. A similarly sized 13/16" 6-pt. socket was extremely tight, so I wouldn't recommend this size and would just go with the 21mm if you had to use the external hex. Otherwise, just use the 3/8" drive adapter for easiest use of this tool. The adapter also incorporates ball detents on all four sides of the internal 3/8" drive, so your ratchet or extension won't easily fall off while in use.Since this tool is made for oil filter removal & installation, I'm sure that it will deliver as promised. I'll post an update after my next oil change and I get a chance to use it and install the new filter housing I have.

Fits BMW 335xi filter cap
This fits a 2016 BMW 335xi oil filter cap even though the packaging lists only Volvo car compatibilities. Much cheaper than BMW-specific versions.

Worked perfectly on Wix 57356 for 2001-2006 Acura MDX Oil Filter
As the title states, this oil filter wrench worked perfectly for the U.S.-made WIX 57356 oil filter made for a 2001-2006 Acura MDX. The wrench is well-made and a good, tight fit for a 64mm 14-facet oil filter. I used a 3/8" socket wrench. Fast shipment. Highly recommended.

It wouldn't remove very tight filter
Through no fault of this item. The filter was on so tight I needed to get a different tool.

So far so good
Fits on a 3/8 ratchet and Makes loosening oil filters a breeze. Goes on Toyota filters snugly (which is what you want) so it might get stuck on the filter. I just took a small screwdriver through the top and popped it right off. Easy.

To All " Briggs and Stratton" Owners !
Hi:This is a well made and super quality " Cap Style " oil filter wrench. If you own a "Briggs and Stratton" motor that requires a "Briggs and Stratton" oil filter # 492932S or is a 74mm filter with 14 Flutes then buy this oil wrench. I bought this wrench because my "Sears Craftsman" Ride On has a "Briggs and Stratton" 20 HP Twin V " Intek " motor, with limited { ZERO } space to work in the oil filter area.Be sure to lightly oil both the inside of the wrench and the outside of the oil filter before sticking the wrench on the filter. You can clean up both with paper towels afterwards. This will help when removing the wrench after you instal the filter. This precision tool fits like a glove on the 492932S " Briggs and Stratton " filters.Note: after you tighten the filter by hand remember you only turn any filter a 1/2 more revolution ( turn ), and that is all thats required to keep it securely in place. Over tighten any oil filter and you will almost have to chisel it off, or run a screwdriver through both sides and then you will still have quite a time removing that over tightened filter. REMEMBER { 1/2 turn more after you snug it up with your hands }.The tool is not gold as illustrate, it's silver coloured. I put a black dot on the silver paint of the wrench with a permanent magic marker. That way I can accurately gauge exactly where the 1/2 more turn will be in relation ship to that black dot, when I'm tightening it on that final 1/2 turn with any 3/8th ratchet wrench or socket bar.Sure hope this helps all you "Briggs and Stratton" owners. It sure helped me. I hated doing oil changes before I found this great oil wrench tool. Now it only takes a single minute to both remove and install a new " Briggs and Stratton " # 492932S oil filter.

Not for tight filters...
I bought this oil filter wrench for my 2009 Corolla. This was the first time the oil filter was to be changed after purchasing the car used.It fit the oil filter easy enough but the cap actually ended up getting stuck so I could not pull it out. I decided to move on and worry about it later. I first used my ratcheting socket wrench on the square drive and after making sure of the turn direction I cranked the wrench but the filter wouldn't budge. I decided to try a combination wrench on the hex drive but it still didn't move. It definitely wasn't the safety pin on the filter holding it back either because the filter didn't rotate one bit.I checked the filter wrench and lo and behold the hex and square drive started to bulge off the cap. Tried the combination wrench again but this time added a pipe extension to deliver more torque. What ended up happening was the hex and square drive sheared right off. So now the cap has a sheared off drive, it was stuck to the oil filter housing and I was unable to change the filter. After some frustration, in the end I was able to remove the cap.So the lesson here is NOT to buy this product unless you have previously replaced the oil filter and KNOW it wasn't over tightened. I'm sure the good reviews for this part comes from people with properly tightened oil filters. The drive and the cap on this piece are made separately then joined, which is why it is prone to shearing if you apply alot of torque. If you know or suspect your oil filter is overtightened, your better off looking for an oil filter wrench that is a little more expensive and preferably solid casted.

Expensive
$52 Cdn is far too expensive for an item valued (Customs declaration) at $17.52 U.S., with no sales tax or duty, and shipped by U.S. Post/Canada Post. It took the seller 12 days to even ship the order, 6 days to leave the carrier facility, 8 days to INITIATE Customs, and then 3 days to deliver it (good for Canada Post, eh) for a total of 29 days. The wrench looks good and should be fine.

Not for use on FRAM filters
Works great on any filter that does NOT have a textured end (FRAM). The Texture increases the size slightly and wrench will not fit over it. I use Mobil 1 filters so not an issue.
